I think the 4x4 locking is a bit of a misnomer; the locking hubs are on-off (or in this case auto or off) power to front wheels. So if you have it on 4H or 4L and one wheel lifts, it's always going to the lifted wheel. If you have center lock, it sends torque to front and back evenly, but both diffs are still open so the torque only goes to the lifted wheel on whatever axle is off the ground. So you really only have "3 wheel drive" If you have all three lockers on, not just the hubs :)

these engines come in Pakistan Military 3 door 70 series version with softop and trust me they are so reliable that they are taken everywhere in harsh environment including extreme heat. i agree with you !

These vehicles have a dual voltage electrical system. The vast majority of the vehicle uses the 2 batteries in parallel to produce 12 volts. A large relay is used to bring the 2 batteries into a series configuration to produce 24 volts for the starter motor only. Most diesel engine toyota trucks were switched to this arrangement around 1990 or so. Before this the entire electrical system was a 24 volt series system.
