A big congratulations to Andrew in Canada for making such an awesome car choice! I taught my teenage daughter to drive stick shift in an 02 WRX wagon. She was able to learn the clutch bite point control in a parking lot by slowly releasing the clutch without giving it any gas until the clutch was fully released. It worked the same way to teach my nephew when he got his first motorcycle, an 03 Yamaha YZF600R. That way you learn things one step at a time. Clutch control first, clutch control with throttle application second, smooth clutch and throttle applications for smooth shifting third.

Fun fact, the hood scoop has a separate vent channel on the drivers side to direct cool air over the turbo and brake booster. So that’s how they have some what solved that issue. I guess it doesn’t work if there’s a lot of stop start traffic.

Happy Andrew. Glad for him. When I was 20, I could only drive my father's Leone (AP5) and then Prairie (PNM11). :-D I've managed to put my bike with front wheel taken off onto my Legacy's rear seat. But after installing "leather" door panels (from RS3.0 Legacy) & buying the L200 (Strada) truck I aint doing this anymore. :-D For me it is also very strange that Subaru put turbo on the right side. BUT, it is great for LHD cars. I can talk a lot not only about Subaru. ^_^ Some STIs are gravel/rally versions with WRX 4-2 POT brakes to be able to wear 16-inch wheels. Brembo can fit wheels not less than 17-inch. For window: retract it fully by one attempt holdint the button and then lift it fully by pulling the button. This is it - the window is healthy now. The calibration of auto-mode has a mistake and such a strange things occur. Mirrors' addon is great. Gonna install such on my cars. But too lazy. :-D Sedans gotta have less room for head in the back...

You really have to admire Japanese how clean they keep their cars are, and the little things you only find on JDM cars, like lower the side mirrors angles when in reverse. I mean even the current Subaru models don't have that feature.

Brother had a WRX version station wagon. Its engine blew up. STI engines are more stout but still not reliable.

the EJ20 from Canada/USA and the EJ207 from Japan in the STI are completely different EJ207 is one of the most realible EJ's made

It was a Finnish car with EJ207. Weak crank in all EJs, also the WRX has weak cast pistons.

Gorgeous! I used to have a green Impreza 2.5TS wagon here in Nova Scotia of the same vintage...loved that car, but the salty roads killed it. It was my first car and I miss it. How hard and expensive is it to find non-STi Sportswagons there? :)
