Most of these UFC fighters are humble, disciplined, and respectful people, not straight up warmongers and barbarians from the medieval-age. She's saying she KNOWS everyone must have that *little* good somewhere in there, not that they only have a little bit of good in them. This is a difference in the perception of violence, to put it in perspective, in her mind committing violence is no different than willfully murdering someone, thats what she imagines has to go through someone's head to hit someone. In reality violence is very nuanced, situational, and good vs bad can have very little if not nothing to do with it. This being said I believe she is living in a sort of imaginary world with her own made up rules motivations for violence. This likely comes from a place of complete ignorance to the topic and therefore she is very likely not a "bad person" for her views. She sure as shit isn't very likable for them though 🤷

Man the older lady has a very twisted sense of morality, I really struggle to understand her at all. It seems she's found a way to believe herself a good person based on an idea that most people grow out of. The character and discipline displayed by the majority of MMA fighters is a much more authentic foundation for any morality than simply 'I don't believe in violence therefore I am good'. Charles Oliveira's story is a perfect example. Raised in the slums, he spent decades mastering mindful violence to create a better life for himself and so many others in his community. I wonder how her beliefs would tackle that reality if she spent some time learning.

They appear to be presenting some of the KOs without context, which doesn't really help the reacters (reactors?) understand the situation. Regardless, bringing pacifists onto a show called "MMA Reacts" is like bringing someone of an opposing political view onto one of the US "News" networks. The 25 year old guy is a fan already. The 25 year old woman is a fan that just doesn't know it yet. The woman in denial of her age still thinks the fights are arranged so the two fighters can settle some sort of argument and there has to be a better way to resolve their disagreements.

I'm going to be very frank with everyone here: I'm a peace activist. I absolutely hate the concept of war. I went to Iraq and saw atrocities and became disenchanted with violence of all kinds. That said, I'm also a martial artist. I have been involved in MMA since my youth. And the mentality and environment in actual MMA is completely different from the violence we see in war and crime. The people involved are consenting adults, and they are proficient in a skill. To be averse to this sort of sport in such a snooty way is basically a lack in understanding as opposed to a higher understanding. I can't speak for all martial artists, but the folks I've been around have been the most willing to put their own lives on the line before others in order to prevent cruel situations from occurring. To me, this is a form of pacifism that makes the most sense. The whole hemophobic and cringey disposition is essentially childish in my eyes.
