Pacing big city road races is always amazing. There is something special about that many runners all coming together to do the same thing... Smash their goals over 10 km, whatever that goal may be. Pacing an hour was an honour as sub 60 is a big goal for a lot of people.
It was great to pace with Hassan on his debut run for Northern Pacing Volunteers, he absolutely smashed it. I loved this race. From my photo with Ronnie the Rhino, to the support along the route, to the happy runners with PB's after we'd crossed the line.
Happy running,
Nicola :)
