Going to Greece in September, a Athens and Crete. I have to check one bag because we are taking out snorkeling gear and my wife’s trekking poles, or at least one of them. She will have a small duffel and a small hard sided suitcase, and I’m trying not to have more than a backpack. Any help packing for two over 60 and hate dresses. Yes, two women traveling! Have you done a review on Solgaard suitcases?

We are going for 30 days in December via cruise in the Med/Holy Land (leaving Athens) including a 7 day transatlantic back to Florida. 8 countries with climates ranging from 45-65 degrees then the cold of the Atlantic. Plus I need all the cruise essentials, meds, suntan lotion/ bug spray, first aid, etc. and have no idea how to do this. We will each check a bag and have a carry on and personal item. We may take an extra bag for souvenirs, but hate to carry an extra bag. Plus I will have a wheelchair. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ❤

I feel like I have about the same amount of “stuff” but I just can’t fit it has well. Well especially in the July light, that luggage is pretty small but I still love it. Works great for non-cold packing.

I’m 🤞🏼 going to Scotland in July 2026. Hopefully for either 2 or 3 weeks and much of that will be in a motorhome traveling around the whole of Scotland and spending much time in the Highlands. (Once it gets closer and I can actually begin to look at making any kind of reservations, I plan to have at minimum an AirBnB or camping location that I can do some laundry every 6-8 days or so. For at least part of the time over there, there will be 2 others in the motorhome with me, so very limited space. I am female but dress more jeans/pants/capris in solid colors and t shirt/tank/pullover. I’m also a US size 22 (2-3XL). I don’t wear dresses or skirts. So more of a male version of a wardrobe. I suppose a packing video for your hubs’ wardrobe with everything he’d need if he were more cold natured. LOL. I won’t be needing any workout gear because there’ll be enough walking around to visit all the places I plan to see. I’m thinking of getting some Vessi Stormburst for waterproof with a not-quite hiking bottom and then my Kizik’s I also don’t wear makeup or extra jewelry. I have my small hoop earrings and a watch and maybe a necklace or ring that I’d just keep on the whole time, so that’s not anything to really consider. I also have short hair so hair accessories or tools aren’t needed.. just shampoo and conditioner and a brush. If I get it cut right before I go I won’t even need a hair dryer. I’m wanting either a single backpack with maybe a sling/crossbody for an iPad 11” or a European sized carry-on and backpack. I’m from Southeast USA, so I’m used to VERY HOT summers (it’s already reached 90’s by April/May). I know it will be July when I plan to go to Scotland, but since it will likely only get up into the 50’s and I tend to be a slightly bit more cold natured, I’m guessing layers are in order. Can you help me with a very minimalist packing so that I can carry as little as possible but still have everything I’d need? Thanks so much!!!! (Love your channel, by the way!!!!)

I’d love to see a video where you p ask to go to a theme park (like Universal studios) in a colder month like January.

I just wash my face honestly. I don’t bring everything with me for my skincare on a trip. I also rarely wear a full face of makeup on a trip.

You beat me to it! I’ve been meaning to make a video like this. Our next trip will be snowy winter + rainy spring. I’ve been fine tuning my minimal travel wardrobe that can work for all seasons, down to about 17F. ☀️> ❄️

Steve Madden, and I will do a UK/Ireland one eventually. I did leggings, jeans, and a skirt, with a few long and short sleeve tops, and a raincoat. Boots and flats.

I love watching your videos and have learned so much and have already implementing so many of your packing hacks. I am really hoping that our next trip we just do a carry on and a personal item. We have purchase the Monos Carry On and the Duffle to try to help us with this. We are doing a one week cruise and than three weeks in Hawaii and I am struggling with how to pack for Hawaii (which is the easy part) and the cruise with 2 formal nights (this is the part that I am struggling with). I would love to see how you would pack for this.
@ItsTheKellys Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Do a tropical capsule wardrobe, and pack a few dresses that can be dressed up. Formal night is never “gala” dress, even though some people dress that fancy. I just always wear a dress and sandals, and style my hair. You can see my packing example that I used for French Polynesia. It’s about the same! I have a few dresses in there :)

@ItsTheKellys I'll go check it out. I bought a neutral pair of linen pants today for the one pair of pants I'm bringing. Probably wear them on the plane to save room. My bar of shampoo arrived from etiquette today and bought a small palette of eye shadow today. I've learned so much watching your videos.

I would love to learn how to better pack carry on only. Going to visit Yellowstone first two weeks of September. Weather fluctuates. Cool in the morning. Warmer in the afternoon. It could rain. It could snow. I’m packing various layers. But any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a hopefully crazy trip coming up next year. It will start in London for 2-3 days then a business trip to Brussels for another 2-3 days then a Mediterranean cruise and possibly a week in Malta after. I can see no way to do this carryon. If you have any tips for a business type trip with a vacation mixed in that would be great. I love your channel. You are so great!

That would be a great video. I actually had a similar situation this July: 6 days of business casual clothing (no crazy air conditioning inside as in the USA ), with 86-92 F weather outside; 4 days of cloudy, rainy chilly weather at a different location (around 55-72 F) for sightseeing and relaxing with friends, 4 days of vacationing at 70-82 F at yet another location where I spent most of the time outside. Flying with strict European size/weight restrictions on some legs. In most locations, walking and public transportation were the main means of transportation. I did manage with a carry-on and a personal item. I am looking forward to seeing Lauren's solutions!!

Procrastapack lol 😂 I’ve never heard that before. Super funny. Everyone does Alaska packing. But not so much New England fall 🍁🍂. When I did cruised out of New York to Quebec. We went from cooler to next to what I considered freezing. But nothing online really prepared me. Now we have booked Quebec to New York early fall. Kinda going with winter layering idea. What do you suggest.
@ItsTheKellys Жыл бұрын
I’ll be doing a winter video soon. The climate you’re referring to is just like my climate in Michigan. Your outerwear will be most important, and what’s underneath will just depend on your comfort level, inside and outside. I’m more of a short sleeve with a light sweater girl in the winter, because I run hot. The important thing to remember for winter packing is that you can rewear stuff. There is no need to pack more than 2 sweaters. Or more than one pair of jeans :)
@spark_6710 Жыл бұрын
@ItsTheKellys Right !! 👍👍In winter ,actually we can pack less as we can rotate clothes easier !! Because we don't sweat much like in summer unless you go skiing or something ! Or spend a lot in very warm rooms all the time . And our body odors are less noticeable in cold climates ! Lol. It's just they're individually bulkier ! Wear the heaviest sweater / coat on planes & pack lighter ,less bulky ones . I use lots of instant body warmers, too !! They're from my country Japan . They come with adhesives ! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

I'm traveling to Greece in October. I have never been there and am clueless. I'm just using a carry-on and personal item. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
