Yup and the double walled arangement creates a thermal buffer zone to help with keeping warmth within your tent during cold nights, the heat from your body's will be retained. Much like putting on extra thermal layers on your body with air space between clothing layers.

😂😂😂 as a Canadian who camps on the regular this is absolutely the funniest shit I’ve watched in a long time! That being said you appeared to have a good time and that’s all that matters. The set up they had there a was all sorts of awesome too… the fridge coolers kinda blew me away! I wish every camp ground had that option… I’d pay like $20 a weekend easy to rent one of those if i was tent camping!!! No ice to deal with etc! We bought a tent trailer (pop up camper) this year which has a little propane fridge so it’s not so bad to bring your own food… But all in all the idea of having everything set up and food provided is kinda awesome… I can totally see there being a market for that here for people without gear. Only improvement they could have made was to provide you with some printed instructions, with pictures, as to how to work everything and cook everything… lots of folks are like you guys and have zero clue what their doing.

I have to vote for Kyde’s sandwich. She is indeed a sandwich artist. I gave up the dairy too, I was not expecting the pain when I tried it again after 3 months. Thought my appendix was bursting. On the plus side I now know I’m lactose intolerant.

Learning curve for the “city slickers.” 😉 If they repeated this adventure, it’s be pro. I think they were dealing two part- instructions not in English and lack experience/knowledge. Which was intimidating and made them panic a bit.

I think I'd enjoy that type of camping, just show up with a towel lol But I'd still bring a few things I'm sure, like a pillow that won't piss me off, and ear plugs. I like the locker fridge idea, I think that'd be something BC camping parks should start using, because bears lol

I used to do a lot of tent camping in my single days (wife doesn't like the yukky nature), and I know from personal experience that a tent will leak if you touch the walls while its raining so a tent in a tent prevents this by placing an air shell around you so you can't touch the outer tent walls. Looked like you had lots of fun.

Yes, sir, my family is lactose-intolerant and it is tricky. What’s interesting is that Japan/Asia used to be pretty dairy-free, but they’ve been adopting a European diet. Really appreciated seeing you doing this REAL life experience! Good for you guys for giving it a go despite your short-comings, no one ever took me camping either. :( BUT I’d rather learn on my own than have someone humiliate me over it (which was occasionally a pattern in my life)

Btw you can actually test your lactose, fructose (in)tolerance very simply. I did that some years ago, being sent by my doctor. Didn't eat anything, went in the morning, went to the clinic. They took a big glass filled with water and put lactose powder inside and mixed it. Before drinking it, they measured something out of my breath. After I drank, they measured again, then 30 minutes again, then 30 minutes again. Lactose values came up well. Had no problems after. Not the same for fructose, although not through the roof. But I spent like half of my day on the toilet after... And yes, there are pills you can take, I think lactases for the lactose intolerance, not sure about others.

I really liked the look of that Lake Sagami PICA site, how well set-up it is, the views, the trees... (the hammock...)( I would have bought a camping base mat if I didn't have one, these days they make them pretty small, easy to carry+store. I bet a cocoon-style sleeping bag would also have helped with the sleep issues, & you never know when those 2 things can come in handy in general. But then again I guess I AM that type of person that rather carry a bit of extra weight and b prepared... rain coat etc etc) Fun vlog, thanks K&E 🙏
