The Packard cars of the 1930s were a prime example of luxury, craftsmanship, and engineering excellence during their time. The 1935 Packard models continued this tradition with their unique features, design, and advancements for the era. Here's a general description and potential advantages of Packard cars from 1935:
Description:
In 1935, Packard offered a range of elegant and prestigious vehicles. These cars were known for their quality construction, luxurious interiors, and smooth performance. Packard's reputation for craftsmanship and attention to detail made them a popular choice among affluent buyers who sought the best in terms of comfort, style, and engineering.
The 1935 Packard models showcased the Art Deco design influences of the time, featuring distinctive and stylish body lines, elegant grilles, and attention to aerodynamics. They typically came equipped with advanced features for the era, including hydraulic brakes, high-quality upholstery, and refined interior finishes.
Potential Advantages:
Luxury and Prestige: Packard cars were considered among the most prestigious vehicles of their time. Owning a Packard conveyed a sense of affluence and refinement, thanks to their high-quality materials, meticulous craftsmanship, and luxurious features.
Advanced Engineering: Packard was known for its engineering innovations. In 1935, many Packard models came equipped with independent front suspension and hydraulic brakes, which were not yet standard in all vehicles of the time. These advancements contributed to improved handling and stopping power.
Smooth and Quiet Performance: Packard's inline-eight-cylinder engines were known for their smoothness and refined performance. The engineering prowess of Packard's engines provided ample power and torque, resulting in a smooth and comfortable driving experience.
Attention to Detail: Packard cars were renowned for their attention to detail. From the exterior design to the interior finishes, every aspect of the vehicle was carefully considered and executed with precision.
Spacious Interiors: Packard cars of this era were known for their spacious and comfortable interiors. Passengers enjoyed ample legroom and well-appointed seating, making long drives a luxurious experience.
Collectibility: Classic Packard cars from the 1930s, including those from 1935, are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Their historical significance, elegant design, and limited availability contribute to their value and desirability.
Art Deco Styling: The 1935 Packard models exhibited the Art Deco design trends of the era, characterized by sleek lines, geometric patterns, and stylish details. This unique styling adds to their historical and aesthetic appeal.
Remember that while these advantages are based on the characteristics of Packard cars in the 1930s, each specific model and vehicle condition may vary. For the most accurate and detailed information about a particular 1935 Packard model, it's recommended to consult historical records, classic car experts, or vintage automotive literature.

Very nice, but those seats really detract from the total look. Way too big and way too modern.

How much else was changed that cannot be seen here? On a similar note, believe it or not, here in Michigan oh, 5 or 6 years ago, I attended an auction at which was offered a 1935 Packard Roadster. It didn't run and definitely needed restoring but it was quite complete except top material and front seat cushions. The body and fenders were good and it would have made a good project when you consider what the end result would be worth. I'm unsure of the price or where it went but it was like the car in this video.
