They need multiple things, WR being one of them, especially with the Watson injury, unlikely 2nd contract given to either him or doubs and the flaws each guy possibly possess in not being able to consistently beat man coverage, be a deep threat, or command double teams. That and simply catching the football was a problem for the entire group.

@@Matt-yq3gq Ya they get one in the first round and he gets hurt and costs them millions. They do well with 3rd rounders. Half a dozen quality receivers is better than one Love can't complete a pass to. Oh ya we need a QB also.

@ multiple things wrong with your comment. You can make that argument against any position drafted in the first round getting hurt. Not to mention the last two edge players they drafted at pick number 12 and 13 haven’t exactly lived up to draft pick and contract, so thinking they are actually gonna find the answer at pick 23 is just throwing darts. Also a draft pick rookie contract player picked later in the first round getting hurt for a year or whatever your insinuation there is isn’t a financial hurdle. Rookie contracts are cheap. They are overall terrible at drafting in the 3rd round historically. It took drafting Tucker Kraft to break over a decade long curse of awful picks. Josh Jacobs the teams arguable best player at least offensively just told us they need a stud WR. He knows more than us.

Hes good but not as talented as olave or jsn. Even Marvin was better. Not sure if he was there when Garrett was there. Ohio st produces nfl wr. He has the ability to play outside and inside. He seem to play like jj or devante smith. But chances are he will be gone before the packers. I wouldn’t be surprised a lot of teams that are in 20-32 will go after wr.

Emeka Egbuka is unfortunately not going to bring this team over the hump. I like the player, but he’s been the WR2 in a WR-generous scheme over his entire collegiate career, whether it’ll be JSN, MHJ, or now Jeremiah Smith. Drafting a WR in the 1st round needs to be a difference-maker either in terms of a a X/Z type WR1 or high end WR2, and I think Emeka Egbuka is unfortunately just not going to be much of an improvement over a player like Romeo Doubs. If we’re looking at promising high-end NFL prospects, I’d look towards Tre Harris out of Ole Miss, who’s probably the only other X-type receiver in this year’s 2025 NFL Draft class besides Tet McMillan.
