Nothing will ever match those years from 1994-97. As a grade-schooler, watching the Packers those days, there was something magical about that team during those seasons. I knew the names of virtually all the Packers those days. Not just Favre, Freeman, Reggie, and LeRoy, but also guys like Travis Jervey, Mark Prior, don Beebe, Frank Winters (Ol Bag O'doughnuts), and even Jeff Thomason and Bob Kuberski. It was truly Packer fever. Every Friday before the game, or Monday during school if they were playing Monday night, EVERYONE was wearing Green n' Gold. Super Bowl XXXI, my family, and my grandparents, all watched it together, and we went nuts on desmond's kickoff return touchdown. It was such a great night, 3 generations of our family all watching a Packers Super Bowl win together. Green n Gold Till I'm dead n Cold!

Well I guess that I might be considered a " long time Packer fan Going back to when I barely understood football Lille Blackburn and " Scooter" McLean and his 1 - 10 - 1 record in 56 ??? Before this guy Lombardi arrived in Green Bay . Coach Vince I believe took the fledgling Packers to the playoffs and barely lost to the Eagles as time expired and GB was in the " Red Zone " as I recall a tackle by Chuck Bednarik on Jim Taylor . I could be wrong but I was only 8 years old at the time . But a coach by the name Lombardi was " Called " to GB . And a resurrection occured !!! GB was renamed " Titletown " During Saint Vincent's arrival . However , the NFL merged with the old AFL to create a game billed as the World Championship Game ! It turned out to be perhaps the biggest of any single sporting game . And still continues to be heard in every country across the globe . Wow I was fortunate enough to be in attendence for SB 2 in Miami FLA .I Believe the ticket was 20 ??dollars or less . It would turn out to be a very significant day in Packers history .It was St Vin's last game at the Packs HC .BUT no one , no one would believe it would be 3 decades till the Pack returned to the ultimate game in professional sports . It's so complicated to get the perfect chemistry of players and coaches to be assembled to get that ultimate goal of being in the the best in the world This clip shows how that combination of players / coaches are so difficult to attain and even more difficult to repeat in the reality of Free Agency / Salary Cap era . The 90s era in GB was vital as far as what happen if GB continued as the doormat of the NFC north Let alone the entire NFC . As I approach my 8 th decade of being a true Packer Backer I Know the post # 12 era will be transitional but all things come to an end . I ll still back up the youth that will represent us in 2023 . Stay loyal it won't be easy but that's the name of the game " Refuse to lose . '

I worked at Lambeau Field the year the Atrium was added. I had the extraordinary privilege to meet Bob Harlen and be the bartender selected to work his personal and professional events. Getting to meet Mike Sherman and loads of the players while working there are memories I will always cherish. The Green Bay Packers organization is one of a kind, and the legendary players who have worn the Green and Gold have been exceptional examples on and off the field.

In 2005, my son and I flew from Los Angeles to attend our first Packer game. It was late by the time the plane landed but we wanted to drive by Lambeau Field even before we went to our hotel. Luckily the Atrium was still open, and we excitedly entered. There were only a handful of people walking around when I looked over and saw a gentleman in a long trench coat, standing alone peering out a window into the darkness. I knew immediately that it was Ron Wolf! I grabbed my son, walked over to him and started chatting. I was a conversation that maybe lasted two minutes, but he signed a few items and took a few pictures. He was so kind to take the time to talk to a couple of fans... boy what a night. Ron Wolf exudes nothing but class and has forever left an imprint on the success of the Green Bay Packers even to this day.

Talent knows Talent and how to acquire it. Then develop it. Once Ron Wolf joined the Packers he convinced the brilliant Mike Holmgren to follow him. Like his mentor, the great Bill Walsh, he immediately attracted "The Best And Brightest." Top level Assistant Coaches that thrived in a creative culture. Bill Walsh may have been the most intellectually brilliant man in NFL history. He worked with Mike Holmgren to perfect " The West Coast Offense." It was raised to such an Art, that it even exploded in the snow and mud of Green Bay. Moral Of The Story= Great coaches win anywhere under almost any conditions. All it takes is an ownership and Front Office smart enough to bring them in.

Yeah, I became aware of that for the 1st time watching this; although I've seen that footage many times previously. Guess the officials either didn't see it, OR just didn't call it cause it was such a dynamic/ dramatic play for the Packers at the time/ at home/ in the cold etc

Well, Rice fumbled too. And no, that doesn't make it even.

@@willdodge200true story. I collect autographs and got Jerry Rices autograph. I told him he fumbled in the TO game and he said he didn't remember.

If your "market" is the breadth of your fandom and not your geographical media market, then the Packers are possibly the largest market team in the NFL... Dallas and Pittsburgh would be the only two challengers
