The Packers do a great job making these videos. Fantastic.

I will always be a Packer's 60s fan for life. This coming from a Minnesotan. When Norm Van Brocklin made losers out of the Vikings and cost us Fran Tarkenton, there was always the Green Bay Packers to root for and celebrate. The Ice Bowl will always be my favorite game of all time. I was so proud of Green Bay. I still remember crying when I heard Vince Lombardi has resigned as head coach and losing him in 1970 was heart wrenching. For a moment in time, we lived in Camelot.

I’m not a Packers fan but I love Lombardi and the players that played FOR him. I also love to watch these old documentaries. Any of the older ones. The Cardinals in the 1925 and ‘47 championships, anything on my Raiders especially Blanda, the Snake, Plunkett, Raiders of the 60’s, 70’s and ‘80s. Watching those old guys especially in muddy uniforms when all football 🏈 was played outside and you NEVER heard of a game being canceled for bad weather.

I don't see how a Lombardi fan can watch this without crying.

I'm a D.C. native born after Lombardi's season with Washington. You talk to Washingtonians of a certain generation, though, and they speak of Lombardi with this sad reverence. He said he'd never coach a loser and he made good on that - both in Green Bay and Washington. Had he lived, he would have overseen dynasties in two different cities in two different decades. He was a legend.

Absolutely. Washington would've been the team of the decade in the 70s had Lombardi lived longer. No doubt about it, in my opinion. He's the greatest coach I've ever studied in any sport.
