A pro tip: put a Keysmart magconnect to the key ring, I been using it since the first day I got the sling bag and is way easier to pull out and attached back in.

@@znate6730 One side goes on the keyring in the bag, the other side goes on your keychain with the keys. That way you don't have to reconnect it every time you put your keys in the bag. You also don't have to stretch the bag away from you like at 07:37 to open a lock.

Based upon these reviews I bought one, just got it today. I did my own comparison between my tomtoc Compact EDC Sling Bag and AER City Sling 2. They are both similar in Length and Height dimensions but different in width, The AER City Sling 2, is much wider and has more internal compartments and zippered pocket, which I like. The only thing I don't like about the City Sling, is the strap design. It looks like a repurposed fanny pack and when you sling it to your front its at an angle potentially causing items to fall out. I prefer the sling design on the Tomtoc Compact EDC Sling Bag, it allows the bag to remain level when you sing it to your front. If the City Sling had this design it would be perfect. Other than that I like everything else about the City Sling 2. Great material, awesome zipper, the inside orange color helps make it easier to find stuff.
@shiveringisles3509 Жыл бұрын
Day Sling 2 is exactly like the Tomtoc. City Sling can be worn more tightly around your chest so it doesn't flop around when running like bigger slings do.

This bag is well made of good materials. Still, I have a problem: I ride a recumbent trike, so it's essential to keep the bag centered on my chest. Unfortunately it keeps sloughing over to the right (it also does this when I'm walking or in my car). I've tried adjusting the strap without success. How do I keep it where I need it?

Would you recommend this over the heimplanet transit line pocket? I’m looking for a small sling and don’t know which one to get. The ones I’m looking at is the city sling 2, transit line pocket, or the bellroy sling mini. Do you have any other recommendations?
@jasonchan45462 жыл бұрын
Just got it and honestly depends on what you want to put inside it. It really just a pocket releaver so if you need more things that you could conventionally fit in your pockets it's probably too small. I find almost the perfect size wishing it was just a tad bit bigger but don't expect to put a whole water bottle and extra stuff in it if that's what you were looking at.

X-Pac is better for maintenance. The material is significantly for that. No question. It really comes down to the look of it. I've used ballistic nylon packs before and after a couple years, they looked "worn". I suspect the X-Pac will hold up better due to the material, but I'm not certain. I ordered the X-Pac to try it out. So i'm hoping for the best.

@artemgurevich40003 жыл бұрын
Hey man love the content and appreciate everything you put out there. Funny thing is, and you can probably trace it back in my review on aersf of the original X-Pac city variant, where I literally said that if they upgraded to aluminum hardware and put fidlock on the strap, I would have no problem paying over $100 for it. Lol, guess they listened. Also I was super bitter missing out on the Aer-Carryology tokai-city sling from I guess about a year ago? Or has it been two years? Geez time flies but anyway it’s funny to see one of your favorite brands taking your recommendations into account and I’m not saying I was the only one recommending but it’s just ironic that they upgraded their X-pac original city sling to the exact 3 modifications I suggested, the funniest of all the price being just over $100, $109 to be exact. What are your thoughts on their x pac collection in general? I always feel I have to go for an x pac variant in any bag if it exists unless it’s also available in dyneema. Not to self- maybe that will be my next suggestion for the city sling V3, LOL

I really do prefer the style, aesthetic and materials of the Aer more, but I was wandering what's your take on whether it justifies such a large price difference compared to the tomtoc, and if it's worth spending the extra money.
