Having both bags, I think it will come down to the size of your laptop and whether you constantly need to grab stuff from the bag while walking. Travel sling 2 will be better If your laptop is bigger than the mac book pro 14 then it will render the 10L of the Max V2 to feel more like 8L due to the dimensions. Max V2 will be better to grab stuff on the go as its kinda awkward to swing the travel sling to and from your chest area if you carry it tight

I don’t want a backpack because I greatly appreciate the convenience and accessibility of a sling such as grabbing my wallet or keys, so I will be using it for that. The Max V2 sounds like the superior choice for my needs. Thanks so much!

I own the Aer Day Sling 2 Max XPAC which I love, but it doesn’t fit my 12.9“ iPad Pro, so I‘m debating if I should get this Alpaka sling, but I think it looks just a bit too big for my liking, so I guess I‘ll have to come to terms with carrying the iPad separately…

U can't fit a 15" laptop in there, BUT I managed to get my Microsoft Studio Laptop 2 in there with a cm to go each side, and that boi is 14.4". That is definitely it though!

Do the zippers make a lot of noise? I know they updated the zippers on the tech case mini as people were complaining about the zippers.

In the video the padded portion of the strap seems to land across the chest and stomach and not the shoulder. Is this the ideal placement for comfort or should it be over the shoulder? Can the padded area be adjusted to fit over the shoulder?

This is a consistent failing of the alpaka padded straps. Ruins the ability of the bag to be worn higher on the back, alpaka straps almost want you to wear it lower messenger style to use the padding on the shoulder. Greenroom, defy, chrome don’t have this issue. I owned an alpaka tech brief with this same exact problem. Had to buy a dsptch padded strap to solve it. But the magnetic mount on this bag prevents you from using a third party strap.

This is a great point that I didn't notice at first. There's no reason to have the padding that far down when it should be up cushioning the shoulder. Very bad design.

Will it fit a steam deck?

According to the site, you can fit up to a 12.9 tablet in the rear compartment. The internal sleeve dimensions are 14.17 inches in length x 9.84 inches. I don't have the bag I’m going off the website information. So most likely it will fit a steam deck that is 11.7 in × 4.6 in × 1.9 in.
