Really great tips. I will be trying your tips when flying back to Canada with my 20 inch Trifold version. It is supposed to be 50 cm wider than the 16 inch but the same height & only a little deeper. Should be a good experiment or exercise in frustration. haha

Hi NoZenith Thank you, like it too. It is just a bit long. The best way to travel is still putting it in the overhead bin. But when I don't have a choice, this is an option that doesn't draw much attention and is also very practical. Keep Safe! Keep Riding!

Oh wow 😯 I have the exact same black boots with the laces! I just got them this winter and my feet were warm and comfortable. Hope they work out the same for you if it’s cold and you use them. Anyway, safe travels to you and Bromptie 🙂

Hi Shelley Shell I'm very happy with them. They warm my feet, and are very comfortable. Yesterday I spent the day walking with a friend in Manhattan. We walk 17km (he likes to walk) and no problems, no blister. I woke up today super rested and without pain in my feet. That was a good buy. 👍🏻😊👍🏻😊👍🏻😊

Hi Chris !! Love your video. I've been searching for a used Delsey Paris 29" on eBay but they all say they are 19.2" Wide on the exterior. So the interior would be less. Are you sure that's the suitcase you have?? Folded dimemsions of the Brompton are 23" x 22.2" x 10.6". Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Julie I had two Delsey Paris. The hard case and the soft case. Both worked fine. You have to take the saddle out to fit the Brompton inside the Paris Delsey. And it still some space to carry extra clothes. The best way is to take the Brompton to the store and try it in the bag. Nice to have you on board!

Hi JR Alicea I'm glad you like it! The lacquer edition is beautiful. But easier to get a rusty frame if you live near the sea or ride in the snow. Brompto is a great bike, easy to ride and you can take it everywhere. Nice to have you on board!

As an owner of of a top Swiss: "Titanium, Tissot Touch" watch I also have a barometer and a hight measurement in my watch (It also shows what time and date - but not the actual Day of the week, dam it!!!), so I'm able to see the presumed hight inside a planes pressure cabin, and its around 2000 m!! So there is no risk of any tire exploding! ;-) Finn, Denmark

Hi Finn Carl Bomholt Sørensen Your watch is wright. It is around 2500m. But did you ever inflate a balon inside the airplane (when up in the sky) and check out the same ballon when back to the ground? You be amazed. I use 100psi on my back tire, so this small difference in pressure is enough to blow it up. A good test is get an water bottle that use thin plastic, they get all smashed when back to the ground. Taking 10 to 20psi is enough for the difference in pressure. 👍🏻😊

@@ChrisbyBike I don't think that the extra luggage room below the cabin in a plane is pressurised, or specially heated, so also in this case you may be right! And (from films) I have seen large balloons go up with what seems a low pressure/filling inside, which then expans to a full balloon when coming up to the operational hight (The former wellknown "Alien insident" outside the American town named "Rosvell", was most likely an early US spy-balloon intended to fly snooping for any possible radioactive stuff from nuclear testing sites over the Sovjet, which exploded/lost its pressure, before going that far!). And I have never brought a filled balloon on a plane, so I can't deny what you say is right ;-)! And - taking the top of the tire-pressure before eventual plane-travels is a reasonable precaution in that connection. Myself I have bought a small, slim electrical pump to be charged from my computer, and which is able to reach the prescribed Brompton tire pressure, when on travels. So it isn't a problem for me either. :-)

To use during my eventual plane-travels I have bought a solid, black German: B&W, Brompton Size travelbox (It's like an ordinary luggage box with wheels and an extra telescope handle, which may be used for other purposes than a bike also), intended for a folded Brompton, but sadly not with a long Scandinavian, 600mm seatpost in the frame, only a standard size post. But my extra, new superlight, black titanium post is to be taken out from the top of the frame (it has a ring-mount for my also new Selle San Marco Royal saddle for it) as it now of course hasn't got the special stop in the bottom, as an original Brompton seat post. I do also have a heavy original telescope post for it, from which the top and saddle may be removed for the purpose.

Taivanese, specialist Brompton equipment firm: Joseph Kuosac also makes a telescope post and maybe a lighter one, for the same price as an original, so if I had known I would have bought one of those. For now I have a new replacement J.K. headset and a ceramic ball, titanium crank on my bike.

And I also have bought an extremely (Read: "absurdly," expensive): "Vincita", padded pouch, with a string to keep it closed and in place, round my still original folding pedal , and I have sown a permanent piece of "protective leather" round my frame - and latest also round my, hopefully soon to be, black titanium "stem post", with a hole in the leather for the fixed Brompton "stem post holder"! All protecting my bikes exterior and paint, to the best of its ability! And I do wonder why You haven't given your bikes frame, leather protection, as a first?

And if not prepared to sow it on permanently, it is possible to buy even longer leather with Velcro to make it stay in place!

Hey have you ever had problems putting it over the head bin as a carry on? I want to travel with a brompton just with carry on just want to know if im going to have any issues with the airline. I assume budget airline are mroe picky?

Hi Funguy On some Airlines there is no problem at all, like Southwest in USA. It fits easily in the head bin. Pedal down and wheels facing you. I had no problems in security (if you take the saddle out, it passes though the scanner easily. The only problem is that some Airlines have a weight limit for hand bags, and usually it is 10 kilos. Check with the Airline the weight limit first. And carry a Ikea bag just in case the airplane is packed and they decide to dispatch it right before you enter the airplane. Remenber to take the Hinges out. Good luck, good flight!

Hi Reef Josey Sorry for not being able to help you, I don't know Dahon, and therefore I don't have the right measurements. To find the right suitcase for my Brompton, I took the Brompton to a luggage store and tried several bags until I found one that fit. Keep Safe! Keep Riding! Nice to have you on board!
