Any particular reason for the full blown camping sleeping bag instead of a lighter one? Is that also just for comfort?

I bought a lighter one a month or so back to bring to CO and ended up freezing the entire night. So I used my trusty one. Also, ultra lite bags are an upwards of $300-$500 which is wild
