Cookcking tip I learned at Uni! Find something you like to eat, that is easy to make. Try making different varients of that dish. for example: I really like making wraps. So I go to the store and buy vegetables and tortillas and change the combination everytime i make it. so maybe the first time I have tomatoes, carrots, cucumber and mushrooms. but then for the next time i change the mushrooms for potatoes or the carrotes for bellpepper. also herbs/spices can make your dish taste completly different.

It's funny because when I first started watching Jade I also started watching Ruby's channel and I thought they were very alike in personality and tastes and everything, but I've slowly come to realise how completely different they are! How Ruby is more of a cosy and calm introvert and Jade is louder, more extroverted and adventurous... Such amazing, brilliant women nevertheless

My favorite part about this is that your case is going to look so, SO different by second year once you finally figure out what you truly need and what you don’t, or can buy/borrow/beg if you’re truly that desperate. It happens to all of us. It’s why I laughed at Eve’s college shopping haul last year (kindly, to myself. I’m 35; if you’ve been to uni away from home, you hear me on this; we all did it!😁) Best advice for decorating your new room: get on Amazon and order a pack of Blu-Tack. I just learned it was available finally after living in America for almost 23 years after emigrating here from England. Congrats on Minerva btw Jade... I took a quick look at the website and the syllabus, the courses offered, and I’m really jealous. Also made me think of BoyInABand’s (Don’t) Stay In School education series years back. I wish I’d had a college like Minerva available as an option when I was your age. ❤️🤓

I studied in London as an international student and packing is definitely the hardest bit!! I brought two checked bags, a mini roller bag, and a small backpack and when I first packed them I was SOOOO overweight it was such a struggle so I feel your pain haha

Hey Jade, I just came back from a year in London (I am not from the UK) working for a charity with people with learning disabilities. I packed only one suitcase and of cause carry-on. My advice for everyone: you think you've just got the right amount of clothes? Take out a third. Whenever you heart isn't aching when removing an item you DON'T NEED IT. Roll you clothes it saves space. Wear you heavy winter jacket: I wore a trench coat, my fluffy dressing gown and an outdoor jacket. It works. Also i really, really cried a lot at the airport when leaving and I had too much luggage. One really nice person from British Airways came up to me and I was allowed to check it in for free. Some people really do still have a heart... All the best to everyone moving away/ abroad xoxo

I’m from Australia and I studied abroad in the US for a semester and my biggest tip would be to buy a lot of the stuff over there like pillows, bed sheets, duvets etc! If I had fit that all in my suitcase I would’ve had no room for any clothes and my suitcase probably would’ve been heavier than Jade’s! Especially because I went during their fall semester where it was freezing and snowed so I needed to leave room for heavy jackets! I’m surprised you brought it all with you Jade!

Tip I learned from my year abroad in london and as an over packer: pack your favourite clothes for about two weeks worth. That will minimalise the stack by ALOT. Because you’ll most likely be doing weekly/two weeks laundry loads. Because I totally only wore the same 1/3 of the closet I brought over, which consisted mainly of pyjamas hahaha.

a suggestion if your are going to study abroad: if you can, contact your landlord or roommates and ask them if they ore ok with you shipping a package to your future apartment 1/2 weeks before you depart. You can put your pillows, duvet and some of the clothes you like the least in there so you don't have to carry everything in your bags and you'll find your stuff at home once you get there.
