About the deo, You can cut a piece and melt it down and pour it in an old lip balm stick and that way you get your own mini deo. Thanks great packing vid 💖💖💖

Good job. You packed things that were not NEEDED for 4days, or could've been put into smaller containers. Curious tho- dry shampoo and liquid shampoo, did you need both? So many sunscreens? Contact case holder added bulk, but is cute n convenient with the mirror. If you check after your trip, think on how many things you actually used in those 4days. I do applaud you on your first try, you made it all fit, and thats what counts. Happy travels!!

I could have consolidated for sure! I did use the dry shampoo and liquid. I burn really easily, so sunscreen is always over the top for me 😆. When I got to the rental they had a washer and dryer that I wasn’t aware of prior to the trip. Had I known I would have packed far fewer clothes!

💐 Hi Marissa, You did a wonderful job of getting not only travel size products, but fitting everything in!!!😂. I’m sure you’ll have a great time there. I am also flying there for Christmas and meeting my daughter there who lives in Houston. My husband was able to get a non-stop flight from LAX and back. I will be there for 5 days. She spends every Christmas there, so she knows where to go. I hope you also got a non-stop flight as it makes it SO much easier! A few years back my husband and I flew to NYC and had to change planes. NEVER AGAIN😫. Have you ever been to New Orleans before? My Mother was from Louisiana, but I’ve only driven through there. (New Orleans). I always enjoy your visits! ❤️😊👍👏🌸

I've never been to Texas, but it is on my travel bucket list. I wasn't able to find a direct flight from Oregon to New Orleans. We ended up having one layover, which wasn't too bad. No delays-- thank goodness. Oregon doesn't have a huge airport, so sadly it is hard to fine flights without a layover when crossing the country. I wish we were closer to an airport the size of LAX. Do you live in California? I had never been to any of the southern states (aside from Florida). The food was like nothing we had ever had before. Thankfully all of us like seafood. We took our son to a Saints game (his favorite team) when they were playing The Raiders (my husbands favorite team). The game was during Halloween weekend and was a ton of fun! I thought the street cars were really neat, too. Hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter in Louisiana over Christmas.

💐 Thank you! I’m sure I’ll have a great time with my daughter! Yes. I live just north of LA in a community called Simi Valley. If you want really good southern food, go to Texas, or any of the Southern states. Just before my first marriage in 1971, I lived in Portland, OR. For a few months. I have always regretted not settling there! I loved it! I really like your take on being organized and having a long term plan for financial security. For one so much younger than I, you have a really good head on your shoulders! 😁

@@charbynovak2061 Nashville and Dallas are on my list of places to visit. Someday! In my opinion Portland has a nice balance of metropolitan experiences without being too big. It receives bad press sometimes, but it really is a great city. I have a packing video coming up in January sharing how I packed in a carry on for a recent trip to Disneyland. We flew in to LAX. Thank you for your kind compliments. We have room for improvement and growth, but try to swim in the right direction.

Brand new subscriber here...challenging myself to pack carry-on only for an upcoming domestic flight. 😊❤️✈️💺🧳☀️An additional challenge: finding a reasonably-priced backpack working with the 18x14x8 American Airlines restrictions...🙄

Here is the trick, even if you got a 20in, if its not stuffed to the gills, can be pushed down to look neater. I bought a 20in and with a few suction bags, i got what was in 2 cubes flattened out. My bag was saggy, so no questions on oversize was brought up. 🤞🏾phew
