@@alvaroga1nThe An Air France flight from Tel Aviv to Paris was hijacked and flown to Entebbe. The dictator Idi Amin threatened to kill all the hostages. The IDF flew a rescue mission to Entebbe gliding a C-130 onto the airport which was not lit at night. IDF commandos raided the airport terminal and rescued all the hostages except one who was hospitalized. In his outrage Idi went to the hospital and murdered the Israeli patient. Great video, Patrick. 10/10 for the balanced critique. When I have a choice, I avoid flying out of Entebbe between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. That is the peak period and coincidentally, that is when systems like the air-con and baggage carousel fail. The immigration processing system slows down as well. It can be miserable!

Thank you, Patrick. The A330-800 is quite a good aircraft, isn't it? I understand that the CEO Jennifer Bamuturaki has said that it will be in 2034 to 2035 when the Uganda Airlines is expected to "break even." But I have been sceptical from the very beginning because of the concern about her qualifications, as you have pointed out. Losing millions in not new to African airlines and profitability is rare, with the exception of the Ethiopian one. That is why I am eagerly anticipating their report 10 years from now. I doubt if they will meet their target, but your guess is as good as mine. If they fail to get there, that will be a sign that our airline is in serious trouble going forward. It would be at least a decade since the end of the pandemic lockdown. Therefore, it would be interesting to hear their excuse then.

A timely visit considering the current situation in the middle east. I refer to the Air France hijacking in 1976 when we were all on the edge of our seats. Operation Entebbe, also known as Operation Jonathan, was an Israeli hostage rescue mission. It took place in July 1976 in Entebbe, Uganda. An Air France airplane was hijacked on 27 June 1976 by German and Palestinian terrorists wanted the release of prisoners held in Israel and four other countries.
