Went to see JM at the Barbican Centre in London last night. At 75 he still has the magic and played various tunes over the years which was great - but at 61 years old I was one of the youngest there...will have to stop going - it's bad for my self esteem.

Thanks for uploading man. 10 year ago I was struggling to learned by ear and succeded on some level but it was so hard. This song also made me learn a lot of flamenco behind Medditerranean sundance / Rio ancho. Cheers. Gl

Richard I’ve been checking out your work since I saw you on the flamenco series on Elite guitarist. I thought you had the best lessons on there. I have been playing 20 years but I’m only two months into my flamenco journey. You have been a big inspiration. I’ve been playing your fast Soleá everyday for about 3 hours trying to play as fast as you and stay in compas. I might need to go out and buy the red shirt to see if it makes me play better.
@RicardoMarlowFlamenco4 жыл бұрын
Adam Madtin thank you! it’s a lot of work, keep at it!
@adammadtin84514 жыл бұрын
Richard regarding flamenco, should you focus on just 1 or 2 Palos for the first 12 months or did you just dive right in and learn as many as you can? I can currently commit to around 60 hours a month for practice time.
@RicardoMarlowFlamenco4 жыл бұрын
Adam Madtin it’s ok to work on various forms at once. But make sure you first focus on compas patterns/chord structures for each form.
@adammadtin84514 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Marlow I notice when watching solo stuff it seems so far from the original compas chords and the sound is totally different. For instance there is one of you doing Buleria and you are not using any traditional chords and it is hard to even register it as Bulerias(for a newbie). What is happening there? Are you just using different chord voicing and using a more modern style?
@RicardoMarlowFlamenco4 жыл бұрын
Adam Madtin yes, it’s a different key

Dear Ricardo, someday I would like you to do a tutorial on 'The Sea' by George Benson and Earl Klugh. Would it be possible? because, even if they are electric or amplified guitars, it has a very Spanish style; Thank you
