This is absolutely the best Pad Thai that Ta or I have ever tasted. Such a great shop. The husband and wife work so well together. It was so cute last week when the owner said to me in his best English "Melly Crissmas". I loved it.

Kathy Hirsch In the City there is a lot of good Thai cafes similar but obviously not as good as Thailand and out at Springvale there is some really good Thai cafes at the Shopping Centre that is very close too Street food !

That's so true about too many falang in Chiang Mai. I was thinking more for my wife since she can't speak Thai. I can speak Thai and the northern Thai dialects. Sadly I have forgotten how to read and write in Thai.

I'm getting hungry watching this video. My favourite Thai dish to cook at home is Gai Pad Krapow, Thai basil is hard to find where I live so I substitute it with coriander which I think is amazing. I also opt for less hot chillies, they are sort of halfway between a chilli and capsicum.

Interesting to use coriander to sub for basil. You may try using some fresh lemon or sweet basil in addition to the coriander. Any basil is better than no basil. . .
