I am new to foiling and just watched your vid from 2 or 3 years ago. I have watched lots of instructional vids and you are the best. Many many thanks. You are a great communicator.

Amazing to see how many foilers entered. And how fast you guys are going now! I have yet to try it, although I have foiled on a windsurfer, but seem to have many “over-foiling” events!😂

You flew by us recreators at Kanaha like we were standing still! 👍 So you were really the 2nd winger and 3rd overall to finish. Except for the damn beach run 🤦. Congrats!

slick D/LAB kicking ass!!

Got the 5 and 7M SLS Slick wings and they’re amazing. Not the D/LAB, I ain’t that rich. The only problem I have is with the grip on my platinum boom peeling after 2 uses…. For $250 that absolutely sucks, but some contact cement fixed it.

Aloha Alan. I have heard the term “moving start” for wing foil racing. Is this kind of start different than a sailboat regatta start where there is a fixed start line between two objects (start boat and buoy, or two start boats).
@alancadizwingfoilinginstru2926 Жыл бұрын
The race director call it a "soft start line" That was the first time I heard that term. It is a logistical challenge for the committee to anchor a buoy and because of the current and drift of the competitors a "hard" starting line has it challenges as well. The lesson here is be at the front of the start group.

Thanks Alan. I grew up sailing and surfing here in Southern California and never heard of a soft or moving start. I also am one of your Patreon members and love the in-depth wing foil instruction. It’s the next best thing to a private instruction session. Keep up the great work!

Great video of the event! Pumping your legs for 20 minutes is for a 20 yr old! Did you have the coil wing leash attached to your waist? It seemed to get in the way. Also wondering if you could have used the harness line.

Hey Alan, KZbin says I'm subscribed to your channel, but I can't log in to your page. I don't appear to have paid anything in recent months on my credit card, so have tried to resubscribe but get the message that I'm not allowed to join your subscription. It does not make any sense to me. Please investigate or explain if you know what's happened.

Aloha Philip, I see your name on my patreon.com list of supporters. I can only see that you are current on your February pledge. You are trying to login on Patron.com correct? Not KZbin. Lmk, Alan
