I'm getting ready to buy a Antix 2.0 small for my daughter. she just graduated a year of kayaking school over the year she was able to try out a few different brands of kayak and said she definitely wants a Jackson antix 2.0 she went from never paddling to being able to hand roll in under a year and paddled 9 different rivers she said that the antix can do it all well. now I just need to find a decent price for one on the west Coast so I can pick one up for her

I just picked up a Dagger RPM Max and a Jackson Super Hero. I know they're two different style boats, but the Jackson is by far more comfortable and better outfitted. I'm looking forward to getting it on the water, as soon as I can track down a skirt for it. The skirt I have for my WS Tsunami 165 fits on the Dagger RPM.

I had an rpm max 20+ years ago. That was back when it was expected a paddler would do a lot of their own outfitting. An upgraded back band would be an improvement. I mainly paddled it in big water. I found it to be fast, predictable, easy to roll, and a good surfing boat. Have fun.

Fwiw, that RPM was made in about 1997. Outfitting from every brand has come a long way since then lol

@@talaananthes And it was groundbreaking when the RPM was introduced, you can still see the lineage in the new boats.. I remember the Knapp brothers tearing it up in that boat.

A lot of the whitewater in this video is... but whitewater paddling is something that can be enjoyed by many. You can make it is as challenging as you want to make it. Of course, you do have to be willing to get your head wet. It's not for everyone. :)

Is the bulkhead permanently attached? Could it be easily and nodestructively removed to be replaced with airbags to make more room? I'm a bit taller than you are an always run into leg room issues with whitewater boats. I have an old Jackson Rock Star Sumo and I have to cram my legs into the thing like a can of sardines. Whitewater is worth it but the thing is pain from the moment I get into the boat.

you can take the bulk head out and trim it so it can go further into the boat. there is a video out there that a jackson rep shows how to do it. took me an hour of trimming to get it done

I just paddled the Antix again yesterday, and thought to myself how big the large was. In fact, I think the perfect size for me would be a M/L. My point being, if you trimmed the bulkhead as Sean described - or removed the bulkhead and replaced it with JK Happy Feet, I think you'd have a lot of leg room.

Currently still own an antix 1 & 2 & rewind. As a previous jackson customer of many years sadly the 2.0 is shockingly soft. The plastics are nasty and for the price its put me off the brand altogether. The antix 1 is so much tougher and fun, the rewind is a far superior boat in plastics and capability and outfitting. Is it worth the money, great boat but for longevity, it gets a thumbs down.

Have had mine for 2 years now with some hard river running and it’s holding up just fine, zero problems with the plastic on mine

@@followingrj good job aswell. For the money it should. I'm to scared to even use mine so I take everything else out instead. Hopefully 2 years of basement life means the plastic might have cured. Either way, my choice of brand has shifted and I must say I think for the better. The grin factor is back.
