I've been there in May and in August. It's crazy how much smaller the falls were and how low the water level was for you. They're still great no matter what, but they were so much more dramatic and wild during my visits. A con to that is that it it's more difficult to swim there when they're like that, and it can almost be too loud and humid. They were raging so hard during my May visit that it was deafening, and you got wet just being within sight of them. Tip for anyone else visiting them: you can keep going beyond the upper falls for a beautiful vista.

Yeah, it's crazy how much lower the water can be in the fall. I've seen Cattyman and Eddy Falls in the spring and they're both quite impressive, with Cattyman being deafening as you described it. I wish we had ventured higher up but didn't know there was even more to see! Just a reason to go back I figure!

We’re doing this exact trip in early June this year. If you have any fishing tips I’d appreciate it.

I don't, honestly; we caught basically nothing on this trip, but fishing in the fall is pretty different than in the spring. Enjoy the trip!!

Enjoying your videos. Curious what brand pants you are wearing and how do you like them?

Thanks Mark! They are the Fjallraven Keb trousers. They are pretty great - durable enough (not bombproof but will stand up to at least a decade of moderately rough backcountry use, I think) with good features (vents, pockets with some zips, stretchy main pockets, reinforced knees and butt, boot hooks and tightening cinches). They aren't cheap, but I am a believer in "buy once, cry once" or "buy nice or buy twice". You can sometimes get them on sale at a Fjallraven outlet if you can find any near you. I will say that Fjallraven clothes seem made for tall and lanky Scandinavian builds, so with my short legs (~29-30" inseam) these pants are a bit too long. Their shirts also don't quite fit me perfectly and the shoulders get a little bunching. Still, I find many of their products are good quality and look great too. The flannel I'm wearing is their Canada Shirt and it's warm but not so warm it makes you sweat, and it's not itchy at all, with decent durability though my dog did finally rip a small hole in it. I promise I'm not paid by them! lol. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for watching!
