that double 1 , 2 jump at 2:09 with the taps wide open! sycophantic insane commitment! ☺ And Kenards unrattleable.... that's a " Oh dear God" moment! he's like ....go faster ?? You can hear the pure joy in his voice when travelling at a good clip Hays chucks it completely sideways (90 degrees)... makes question them separating ? THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING STAGES IN THE WORLD at least on gravel with all the off camber blind switch backs dip and constant steering inputs .... alot of places to get it wrong! I can't see this stag time being challenged in a hurry. I would like to see more stages from on board.. its great viewing☺

Its actually not too bad to drive, the camber can help turn the car in alot but going flat can be a scary thing, fences and logs. And this stage isnt so bumpy so if you have a good driving style or even just decent at rally its pretty hard to crash out. Just dial it in and you arent gonna have a hard time keeping it clean, just like most NZ stages i think

Not so much modern day F1 drivers though. I'd say modern F1 is much less dangerous than rally driving. But even rally driving today is much safer than it was back in the 70's and 80's. Specially the group B 80's era. Remember Toivonen? His car exploded like a bomb. Nothing left except the frame.

yep all sequential gearbox racers including F1 as well, left foot brake

no, hes clutching to preserve the gear box. these cars do have clutches, just they are optional to use since the gears can be slammed in without the need to disconnect the the engine from the transmission in a squential. The clutch is used for example when in low gears its used to stop tire spin on acceleration. its also used for preserving the gear box as i mentioned before. Note he is only clutching on upshift.
