He would have shown dougie and jonny what a fighter was in his prime! People seem to forget there was no dancing about for 30mins with 1 punch being thrown it was real fights paddy was in! That's why young joe joyce was so dominant in his fights because his dad was part of that real old school fighting scene and drilled that into him! Whereas dougie and Johnny's dad wasn't a hard man so taught them nothing.

A fun fact for you Terry. My dad was the one who recommended Paddy for the Danny Dyer programme. I remember it well as paddy's episode was broadcast the one before dads. Brilliant watch that was, i like paddy a lot. Has a real genuine vibe to him.

Absolute gentleman he's a credit to the traveling community I've always rated old Paddy, believe it or not I actually answered a call to him when I was working construction with some travelers (very close friends more like family) they told me how much of a great fighter paddy was many times but the thing I was most impressed with was how kind and generous he was told me how he helped a family out and loads more!!! Heart of gold just like my friends who got me working when I'd just got out of somewhere and was struggling lived in a brand new caravan for a while until I managed to sell it for my pal!!! Me and paddy only have one thing in common, we both lost a son, but the day i talk to police is the day i die, i have had 10 or 12 worse attacks than what he had! Never even crossed my mind to involve old bill! Respect ended there

Great interview Terry! If you do a part 2 with Paddy, please get him to tell the story about the day him and Johnny Coyle turned up to challenge Dan Rooney. Those two ruined a scheduled fight that day in front of hundreds of travellers and not one fuck was given by either of them lol! I'm sure Coyle ended up brawling with Rooney's brother in the end, it turned into complete chaos.
