Wild man I've known of paddy since he was scheduled to fight a kid who I went to h.s with & lived in the same town. But when he was gifted an opportunity to make his cage warriors debut against the biggest name in the underground mma scene in paddy & somehow made it to weigh in day almost 12lbs over. Paddy who's just as big if not bigger made weight. & because the kid chose to not keep trying to cut weight after the first attempt paddy denied to remake the fight at a catchweight; rightfully so. Remember at the time thinking paddy was scared. But in hindsight he has always been a very smart kid. He doesn't bite off what he can't chew while also taking calculated risks. Anyways all that said I still love paddy man. However lately paddy's done somethings I've been pretty critical about.. A: before dana mick hunter or Shelby Even knew what a paddy or a baddie was (same with the majority of die hard & casual fans) ariel helwani went out of his way to make sure he gave paddy the light he deserved before paddy had a tinkle to Wizz in.. multiple times for that matter. But then the moment paddy wins his debut fight he completely changes his tune with ariel. Acts like ariel was only trying to get him back on the show because paddy had become a big name.. that sh*t is inexcusable to me.. trust I understand why people could dislike ariel or the mma hour in general.. but paddy had no reason to attack his character out of nowhere which shows a major flaw in Character Even if you came up in your profession alongside a guy you couldn't stand, you should always credit them for making you better/bigger/popular. Sh*ts wack & truly hope paddy makes that right B: Paddy has went undefeated In the ufc. He's 4 or 5-0.. yet he's gone completely radio silent whereas 4 years ago paddy was everywhere promoting & making content. Leaves me to think paddy's the type of guy who will rest on his laurels & become willing to stop striving for success after he's hit a certain level of fortune C: he's 5-0 As I said. Has become a legitimate box office draw (cash cow) yet he's never even attempted to take on a legit ranked dude. Tony is my mma idol. Always will be but I'm fairly confident I could get off this couch tomorrow & take 2 rounds out of 3 against him. Why isn't paddy demanding to fight ilia? Or a justn gaethje. A guy who's threatened his main sponsor in portnoy? Or just even flirted with the idea of fighting a top 10 guy? I only ask because regardless of everything I've said ^ Here, I genuinely believe paddy could beat alot of these tops guys. Like fisiev micheal chandler dariush.. Bobby has outlasted many many fighters since his time and after, whilst remaining a top contender. Definitely a King of entertainment also. Piglette is a King Of Snoozfests. He and Garry the same that way, claim they will KO opponent but then grapple and stall on top for a control time split decision. MMA fans aren’t fooled like the casuals are.
