Just to clarify something, contrary to what you are saying in your video, the end of the movie matsuri (festival) is not fictional. It is based on a real matsuri called Onbashira -> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onbashira They actually depicted a "softer" version in the movie :)

Wdym? Obv it’s based on this bc of the riding part, but I don’t see the … sexual innuendo from the show described in the article. Now that isn’t to say there aren’t any Japanese festivals involving this sort of thing because uhh… So all in all it’s realistic for a festival in Japan and pretty hilarious writing but ultimately not a real festival.

(2014) - You could probably fold both reviews into a third feature, highlighting favorite comedy/drama films. Especially since you mention around 00:27 that you just really like the writer-director's style - possibly could do a feature on just that creator's films. Looking at the filmography, it looks like there's a 2017 release planned ('Survival Family' (2017)), so that could be a tidbit to include, as well. This writer-director does have kind of a droll way of telling a story, and can see why the films would entertain you. We review in themed rounds, and will likely review 'Swing Girls' ('Suwingu gâruzu') (2004) (scripted by Shinobu Yaguchi (00:21), Junko Yaguchi) at some point. Thoughtful and detailed review, as usual. Fun to see the titles you pick, since it's always something a little different, offbeat, and adventurous. We can relate, so we (@LookieShow) tend to appreciate this element of your channel, in particular.
