Thoroughly third rate interview and questions....a lot could have been extracted from the legend...!!! The interwiever has exposed herself as bafoon.
@ShashiNair564 жыл бұрын
Exactly. A person of Panditji's calibre ought to have been interviewed by a person of repute and good musical background. This girl who might not even know what is classical music is interviewing Panditji!!!! Pathetic and it is, I must say, an insult to Panditji who is revered by millions. The channel authorities who sent her must be flogged.

There is a certain way to carry urself when u r in front of a legend, a certain way to sit and speak. She is putting her leg up in front of him which is totally disrespectful and the way she is talking is highly irritating but he is a gem, he is absolutely untouched by all of this..that's what great people do.
@pallavisreetambraparni69953 жыл бұрын
Exactly. the interviewer has one leg on top another, she has absolutely no patience to listen to what punditji is saying, she keeps interrupting punditji, and doesn't let him finish, she is like she just wants to ask her questions and somehow get through and finish the interview, etc... you can see all this in her body language and her facial expressions. And, to top it off, her hindi is not that great either. It is kind of accented. They could've gotten someone better for the interview to interview punditji.

at least the interviewer had some sense to thank pundit jasraj in the beginning for coming to the interview despite his very busy schedule although that also sounded very artificial and hasty. the way that the interviewer was asking the all questions to punditji just seemed very artificial. she sounded as if she was just asking the questions just because to ask them. no really genuinely wanting to learn about punditji's story. this is how i felt.

The interview would have been much more interesting ,had not the interviewer been impatient. As for Pandiji, he is one of the best musicians of contemporary India. Frankly ,I was a hard-core atheist. But when I first heard him singing in TV around 1985 or so in coutesy DD ( and I was not knowing him then) Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya, his mellifluous and wonderfully magnetic voice just captivating that the voice echoed for many hours after. For the first time ,I had a self-doubt. Time went away. But luckily,I had an opportunity to listen to him in li e concert in my city, I was fortunate to listen to his bhajans,there was no looking back . I listen to him till today i.e 29-09-2023. He is a true Saraswathi putra.

where has this lady's indian samskrithi gone? out the window? i grew up in the US and i think that i kind of know a few things about indian samskrithi. indian culture is based on the 4 vedas. rig veda, sama veda, yajur veda, and atharvana veda. the vedas describe everything about how one should conduct oneself. both man and woman and how poojas should be performed. the rig veda is a big collection of hymns and shloks, the sama veda is about music and dance, this is where both hindustani and carnatic music came from, the yajur veda is a manual if how to conduct sacrifices and rituals, and the atharvana veda is a veda not related to all the other 3 vedas.

Dear ET Now, its my humble request to have an interviewer appropriate to talk to certain great people like Pandit ji in this video. Though, nothing against this lady, and she might be great interviewer for upcoming bollywood people but appears pathetic in this interview. She - 1. Appears restless and in hurry during the entire interview, 2. Appears to be a good speaker in english but struggling in Hindi therefore ruined the conversation completely. Further, in my opinion, which you should respect being your viewer opinion, when you get an opportunity to have conversation with such great people, those are real life enriching experience...

All of these great artists, sangeet martand pundit jasraj, bharat ratna pundit bhimsen joshi, ganasaraswathi kishori amonkar, pundita veena sahasrabhudhe have really worked very hard and sacrificed alot for the sake of shastriya sangeet. they gave their lives for shashtriya sangeet. the least the current generation can do is to show a little bit of respect to these great musicians who sacrificed so much and gave so much instead of throwing it all away.
