Padmaavat Song (Ghoomar) - Reaction and Review
Donathan and Kelly watch one of their favorite music sequences from Padmavaat aka Padmavati, Ghoomar.
Storyline
Rani Padmavati (aka Padmini) is said to be one of the most beautiful women to ever exist. This real life story is epitome of Love and sacrifice between Rajput Queen Padmavati and Rana Rawal Ratan Singh, the Rajput ruler of Mewar. Their perfect life took unfortunate turn when Allauddin Khilji's lustful eyes gazed upon Queen Padmavati. Alauddin Khilji is known as one of the most brutal rulers of the Khilji dynasty, who ascended the throne by killing his father-in-law, his brother-in-laws and their uncles. He was known for attacking states, only for their land and women. And, the motive behind the attack on Mewar was none other than royal Rani Padmavati. Chittorgarh fort, today, stands as an epitome of the true Rajputana spirit, loyalty, fidelity and bravery and a symbol of women power.

Hi, Kelly and Donathan! A great job yet once again! Thank you. Kelly, you are right, those are real pearls. Those are also real jewels and gems. Until the late 19th century, India was the world's only source for diamonds, until the 1890s when diamonds were discovered in South Africa. Along with Indian gold mines, India being one of the top 2 wealthiest trading countries (China was the other) in the world, trade with the Middle East, North Africa, and later Greece and Rome and later still Europe, accounted for a huge amount of influx of gold. Rome bought so much of India's textiles, spices and jewelry that it nearly went bankrupt because of the trade imbalance that resulted, since India didn't need much of the goods Rome had to sell. Rome actually had to pass laws to ban Indian imports.

All historic evidence leads to the poem. There is no available evidence to prove that Padmavati actually existed. The poem is the first mention and it was written in 1649, long after Ratnasimha was defeated by Alauddin in 1303. Legends change over time depending on who is telling the story and to whom. Historical evidence remains.

Do you know why Hindi is unique? The language itself is promoting respect in every single sentence you built. This property is derived from its parent Sanskrit. If I need to ask you something in Hindi. Then the words are automated with respect, Because Hindi vocabulary is "respect" rich. You will understand it only if you learn. The higher degree of languages like Sanskrit possesses a magical level of respectfulness.

Hi Kelly, Thank you for a quick reply. However, I want to add one more point too... Donathan and You may wonder why you are getting countless views, comments and a big hype of love from subscribers since the day you are doing contents originated from India. This is simply because Indian people are very proud, polite and patriotic. Why? Due to 3 reasons. 1: DNA OF LANGUAGE: The Indian subcontinent has the soil of history in it. India is the land where 'The Indus Valley Civilization' originated during 3300 BCE. The oldest yet living language on Earth 'Sanskrit' was originated in India. Every Hindu Epics and Text are written in Sanskrit. Sanskrit is a standardized dialect of Old Indo-Aryan, having originated in the second millennium BCE as Vedic Sanskrit and tracing its linguistic ancestry back to Proto-Indo-Iranian and Proto-Indo-European. As the oldest Indo-European language for which substantial written documentation exists, Sanskrit holds a prominent position in Indo-European studies. The DNA of Sanskrit has its impact on its use. It gives a respectful notation to every sentence built and this property is passed to Hindi, Tamil and countless other languages. Do you know how Sanskrit contributed to English - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_words_of_Sanskrit_origin 2: PROUD: They are so proud because of India's History - Spanning millennia Culture - Hinduism and subcultures Epics - The Mahabharata & The Ramayana Legends - You may be familiar with Padmavati right? Inventions - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Indian_inventions_and_discoveries Diversity - 36 States in India is 36 times diverse than you can ever imagine Govt - The Govt system of India is Secular Democratic Federal union like the USA. Military Force - 4th largest in world with nuclear power and ability to attack from land, air and water Politics - It's super fun and every Indian has his own stand Space - Indian Space Research Org ISRO conquered Moon & Mars with its own satellites and everything with some interesting features. Brahmos - The Indo-Russian missile that is so capable of destruction 3: PATRIOTIC: As you can see in Padmaavati, India is a very rich subcontinent during that time. Then the Turkish and Persian Muslim invaders from MiddleEast attacks over India. Even Indian emperors are extremely powerful and in tensions, Invaders are on a quest to capture India because of its richness. The Alavudeen Khilji you see in Padmavati was a Turkish. They slaughtered many of the Hindu emperors in an unethical way and against war rules. They shoot during nights, Unproclaimed attacks, Kidnapping queens and princess for surrendering, Back attacks, Offering money and power to beloved ones and turning them Spys and in so many ways. They are not ready to accept war ethics. Killing women and children during war is against Hindu war rules but they did it. Most invaders are not ready for a face to face attack because they know they will fail. They destroyed many of the temples, cultures, texts and looted everything. India tends to week and those established Muslim rules are called MUGHALS. Like every time, They started converting people to Islam making India a Muslim territory. But that was hard for them because Indian Hindus secretly practice their faith and preserver ethics and values for centuries. Vasco Da Gamma, A Portuguese explorer similar to Columbus discovered the richness of India and started sailing to Kerala (South-West India) and reached in Calicut. He was astonished by the black pepper and requested for an ethical trade to the local ruler called the Zamorin of Calicut. He slowly became unethical and started exporting pepper to Europe and stop paying taxes. Forcing people to work without wages and making the land his own. While he senses the ruler is taking severe action against him, He heads off to Portuguese and spreads the richness of India all over Europe. While Arab merchants from MiddleEast who practices a trade with Hindu Kings in India fears that Europian will break their trades offering higher values to Indian Kings for goods, They block the red sea ( The easiest route to India). But Vaco finds a new route circulating the whole African Continent to reach India from Europe. Britishers starts invading India and they lost everything. While they fear they can't withstand with mighty kings they coined their cunning plan 'DivideAndRule'. They spread Anti Islamic reasons to Hindus and Anti Hindu reasons to Muslims making them fight each other and destroy self. The plan works as expected and they took over the control. These incidents make the loyal Indian people highly patriotic and whenever they hear someone abusing their nation, They can get easily smashed. And you know one thing, Even the 4th strongest military in the world, India never Invaded any other country till her History. The older Indian soil is still Indian and no other soils are mixed to date. We are still ethical to war rules even someone cheat on us that's why India has a special proclaimed 'Nuclear War Strategy' that we won't fire any nation unless they threaten us. -Thankyou

Entertainment doesn't mean distortion of History.... Even Southern and many other regional Film industry makes historical films but they never distort the facts..... Visual mediums like films, televisions, etc are pretty strong long lasting effect which the mst people don't realise....Movies/TV have a large audience and technically audio & video visuals have best recall value. General people will believe what they see in the movies. In the future, generations will sympathize with anti-nationals like Haseena Parker, Abdul Latif as they were portrayed in a positive manner in the movies like Haseena, Raees. People will also think criminal like Manya Surve as a student who got 70% in the graduation and was forced to choose a like of career, as portrayed in the Shootout at Wadala. That’s power of movies/cinema- people/audience believe whatever creative fraternity wants to showcase, without doubting or willing to cross-check the accuracies ( who has the time and interest ) I'm pretty sure if the movie "Gandhi" was made by Bollywood it would've shown Gandhi moonwalking from Sabaramati upto Navsari in his Dandi March.....
