I love the prelogy as well. It's lore accurate for the Jedi and their supporters to be hypocritical. If you know anyrhing about the extended lore, the Jedi and are not always good, and the Sith are not always bad. Coruscant, the Jedi's capital, is a full blown dystopia for the poor.
