Paducah & Louisville CN BNSF CSX Trains in Western Kentucky 12/19/14

Started off in the Paducah, Kentucky area. Arriving on the night of 12/18/14 we caught a CN local heading back to its own trackage after setting out and picking up at the PAL yard. Power an Ex KCS SD40-3 and a IC GP38-2 in CN paint. Next morning a couple BNSF trains idle out the morning at the PAL yard. A westbound PAL train arrives in Paducah with a GP38-2 leading an ex CSX SD70MAC. A view of a bunch of classic motive power in the Paducah shops. Later on to the east a PAL coal empty with a slug leading another GP and two SD70MACs one being in the University of Louisville paint scheme rolls across the western Kentucky countryside west of Madisonville. Some PAL power idles away the afternoon at their Madisonville yard. The coal empty now arrives at the mine on the westside of Madisonville to reload. A CSX Q102 rolls north at Earlington. Q124 rolls through Morton's Gap. And finally Q649 rolls south with an AC6000 leading 3 Leasers. Stay tuned for more. Enjoy!!!

I railfan the CSX and it is sad to see CSX locomotives patched but I guess I can't control that,that's up to the railroad :(

Sad CSX is selling off its SD70s. GEs nowadays all look pretty much the same. Atleast they can give those SDs a new life.
