Tanzania is very different from Kenya especially in ideology and lifestyle InTanzania, apartment buildings tall or short are mostly for visitors ,foreigners and few local people who are still trying to make it in life ( wanaojitafuta). So in Tz living in apartment building isn't a flex at all, no matter how expensive it is.😅 You only flex when you own your own decent house or a mansion. That's why Most residential areas in Dar are full of mansions.

In Tanzania we don't call residential areas an estate, we call neighborhood or street. Estate is a terminology used in Kenya since most Kenyans live in companies built houses compounds( estates) In Tz most people build their own house or rent on someone's house. That's why we don't call them estates.,

The reason why people don't party or having fun in the cbd it' s because no many places for entertainiment and most people live outside of the city centre. Most Tanzanians don't like to live in apartments here in Dar. We build our houses away from cbd, that's why you hardly find crowds at week ends
