Great review, John. Personally I prefer the baton hands, I don't mind the minute hand of the mercedes style but I've never been a big fan of the hideous hour hand (although I do have a couple of watches with mercedes hands). I have quite a few green dialed watches so this one isn't for me.........nor is the ice blue colour variant. The advertising photos on aliexpress for the ice blue dial are completely false and misleading....giving the impression of a 'light mint green' type colour which looks quite appealling, however, the dials are actually a dilute, washed out, uninspiring very pale blue. If PD offered other coloured dial variants in future I would definitely be keen. Nice to see some clear AR (it appears that PD are finally taking note of a multitude of criticisms over the years regarding their failure to incorporate this into their offerings). Lume isn't great, but that's normal PD for you.... it's not a deal breaker for me anyway. Overall a good effort. We know PD can do very good bracelets like the one here (I usually prefer two button pusher deployant clasps), a shame they can't apply the same care and attention to detail to a few of their other watches. Keep pumping out the good stuff!

Ordered this during the 11.11 sale 5 months ago, the number 6 was not filled in with loom when I got it notified pagani design and also sent pics they said there was nothing wrong with the watch and would not replace it. Today the bracelet broke in the middle of the clasp. They will not answer my emails I've sent requesting a replacement bracelet.Horrible customer service. Would recommend a different brand than pagani design it's really to bad I like the watch even with the number six flaw and it keeps decent time +5 seconds a day.

I have trouble believing PD doesn't recognize their lume issues. Can excellent lume be just that expensive that the piece becomes unprofitable? Their price points are very affordable and I love many of their pieces, but the lume issues keep me away form a lot of them. Great review WR4K, keep 'em coming.

Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. The production cost increase would only be circa 5 Euro per piece for BGW9 or C3 Superluminova with 5 to 6 layers applied. Therefore Pagani Design could just increase the wholesale price by 5 Euro per piece to cover it. The AliExpress resellers could increase the retail price by 5 Euro per piece to offset it. Ik fully agree with your opinion about the watch. Great dial color and lay-out Ik think I'll buy it and swap the movement to a NH38 and maybe put another set of (Mercedes) hands on it.

Only thing I really disagree with you is the color of the lume. While the like needs more layers or a better lume all together. I appreciate the fact especially cheaper watches do different color lume. Gives us brokies a cool picture for about 60 seconds haha

@@watchreviews4k ok. However the thing I’ve noticed more than anything on these homages of explorers, Op’s and the like is that the bezel is noticeably thicker. Look at the case design of an alpha for example. Much nicer in my opinion. Again only my opinion though. Regards.

@@jamesholdsworth3112 The bezel on my San Martin SN020-G is also thinner. I prefer a thinner bezel when a piece has a doubled domed, or top hat style crystal. With a flat sapphire crystal as per the 1692 I prefer a thicker bezel. I also prefer a flat bezel as per the Rolex Explorer, versus the domed bezel of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41. Regards, #WR4K
