Pagani Design PD1703 full review

Received a few days ago and I agree with all the +/- noted in the video. The chronograph hand is off just to the left, so I can pause at one tick if it bothers me. I haven't seen the teal dial reviewed, so I will note that the black sub-dials are tough to read with the crystal distortion making the minute counter flaw that much worse. Pagani seems to miss a significant detail or two on v.1 of their models. I'm 0/2 with them now, so I may give another one a shot before I wait for the second or third iteration (if any).

This watch was not designed by Pagani Design, it is a homage to a IWC pilot chronograph.

I KNEW it…….FINALLY! A dang useful 12 hour totalizer….NOT a stewpud, moronic, 24 hour spelunking/space walk dial…………and CHEAP! Bravo to PD! Thanks for the review Sir. Any chance they make one with a day/date as in 7750 layout? And…..come on PD, it’s freaking QUARTZ! Totally doable with a 38 mm diameter on a nice bracelet with female end links. Man…..PD…….y’all would sell out before you could post them on your site. Really….

Pagani Design has taken note of the incorrect graduation markings of the sub-dial at 12 o'clock. I am buying this watch now and the dealer sent me photos which show graduation markings for 60 minutes. Thank you!!

Nice review amigo about a little flaws on this watch though The 12:00 subdial that is unbelievable. The alignment that's an issue. Until they fix those I would stay away from this that's my opinion.

The alignment is up to the QC team, I've had quite a few paganis with really good Chrono hand alignment, this one just happened to be pretty bad.

Nice watch. The movement is a reliable one. It looks bigger than 42mm probably due to that big dial and skinny bezel. It works well with a lot of straps too. The dial at 12 is a big error though. Another point is the chronograph hand can measure down to fifths of a second but there are only one second markers on the dial.

Too bad they messed up the printing of the minute counter. Unfortunately they most likely printed it as a 30 to keep it a true homage of the IWC, which was a bad decision. Cool thing about the VK67 is it can count up to 12 hours. All the other VKs chronos stop after 60 minutes.

Could not agree more. To think that such a useful complication is replaced 95% of the time with those ridiculous 24 hour sub-dials just ticks me off. You would think SEIKO (smh) would use the VK-67 in a Seiko branded watch.

Not currently on the radar. I think they missed the mark on that dial. Way to dressy IMO. If they update the dial, I'd be all in, as I expect the watch to be really really nice, and the size seems perfect. Throw some texture and some lume, maybe some color, and I'd be interested.

Not a bad looking watch, but the stopwatch minute hand is a BIG oversight. The lume is typical Pagani. That Baltany chrono lume is amazing, it looks like a all-night lume to me.

Great review as usual Steve. It seems that Pagani design seems to produce watches with glaring faults. As you said, the subdial is a design fault. PD are not known for their quality control either and don't seem to pick their game up until V.2 orV.3. I have many watches from Alie Express but I will not pay $180 AUD for that...there are too many other "good" brands available for the same or cheaper.

I have one of these, and I’m generally very pleased. The only detail that bothers me, is the chronometer seconds hand that doesn’t exactly center on 12 when resetting the stopwatch function. Also, mine isn’t waterproof. I got caught in a downpour the other day, and wasn’t wearing rain gear, and only a short sleeved polo shirt. That evening, the glass was misty inside. I unscrewed the crown, and wore the watch a couple of days until the glass cleared. So, be warned…

It's not a secret that the Chinese use "Mao Meters" - otherwise abbreviated "mm" while the better Chines brands use "China Meters" - otherwise abbreviated "cm"

What a mistake with the subdial! 🤦‍♂️ Anyway, it's still a good watch for the price. But not my cup of tea. The finishing seems very good! Hoping they will keep this level on all theirs watches. Now they have to improve their lume, really! Thanks for the review, Steve 👍

Wow, how could they use the wrong minute counter subdial !?!?? ! It's so great to have a 12 hour toalizer dial.... and this design overall is great but the other thing that drives me crazy is that they made numerous different color designs without making the one that matters most: all black dial with only white markers, indices, numbers, and hands

Pagani design. Please use for your luminous indices and handset use bgw9 superluminova. You love blue so don't use c3 superluminova if your u. Blue lume us the worst lume. Please 🙏 stop
