@noelic6744 4 жыл бұрын
@@月夜流 Although I know it's a crime to compare guitar and bass, but I can play the guitar and it's definitely a lot easier than the violin. And bass is similar to that. The only reason you can play violin faster is because the notes are closer together, but nothing about that makes it easier. Yea, you can see in his 4th variation and somewhere near the end, he actually played those notes slower and more evenly than the original where the first two notes of each bar was long and the rest were really fast. That's because it's really hard to pluck the strings and move your fingers across the fingerboard that fast.

@Ralph Wiles Whilst some random classical music fan may feel compelled to "correct you" and tell you that in classical music, they're considered "pieces" (not "songs"), nomenclature shouldn't negate or devalue your compliment. So don't be discouraged if *"that one person*" shows up to be a complete knob. =) I agree that Charles' did an impressive job in arranging this for Bass (and practicing 40 hours a day, 8 Days a Week) to share this with the World. this made me realize I wish this channel could've become one featuring lots of 'classical music on bass' (which sounds absolutely awesome, I love it). it's like a perfect in-between of twosetviolin and davie504. like a venn diagram center. not really copying either one. I would've loved that

We had to study this piece on classical guitar for Jose Tomás in Alicante, Spain. It's amazing what a fantastic job Charles has done here! And I would say, the piece is greatly benefited by the backup! By the way, some of you might be aware that Paganini turned to the guitar and later years, giving up the violin.

I mostly listen to classical piano and violin pieces and I can say this is so interesting to hear! I expect to hear the piece as I've always heard it and suddenly there's different styles and sounds but still just as virtuous as it was initially written! Fantastic job, never expected to be this blown away by a bass cover of a violin piece!
