Jimmy is the most influential musician, composer, arranger, guitar player, visionary producer ever. His total vision along with perhaps Hendrix sets him apart from the other guitarists and his multi-dimensional versatility including acoustic range remains unsurpassed.

I was at this show and right in front of Jimmy Page. You will notice that Page plays for a split second before the spotlight hits him, and the another split second passes before the spotlight hits Robert. If you had asked me before I saw this video, I would have sworn that it was dark for at least a couple of seconds before the spotlight hit Jimmy and another couple of seconds before it hit Robert. It was my first time seeing Jimmy Page live, and I guess time stopped for a while.

Just to thank you for for posting this concert footage. Have got the audio CD but first time I've seen the footage. A truely great gig. Been a fan since seeing Led Zep for the first time of four in 1971. Nobody comes close. Many thanks again.

Saw them Phoenix 98.. best show ever been to, no one else puts on a show with as much energy as they do. Need anther band to come along and rock us thru this decade now. Jimmy plays freaking loud very LOUD, it was great thought the roof was going to come off the arena and we'd find ourselves floating thru the galaxy.

I was at this gig and it was truly outstanding!! The energy that came from them was immense. I never really cared much for Michael Lee's drumming on the Zep tracks. I found it quite "bullish" in comparison to Bonzo's sensitivity, groove and general funkyness. However, after hearing this again he did an outstanding job really when you consider the weight of a legend that he was carrying. The important thing is that it was a fucking awesome show, Jimmy was on fire!!!!!!

The whole deal behind Zeppelin was that a bunch of talented musicians, "students of music" and friends with a like minded purpose wanted to take the songs that they loved as kids from Howlin Wolf, Willie Dixon, Leadbelly and re-work them. They wanted to energize it and pump it with attitude and pay homage to their idols. Plant still has that same attitude today as he wins grammys with Allison Krauss with a CD full of re-worked classics that time has forgotten. They are masters.

Are you using your ears? This passed the listening test of hundreds of thousands of people in the year 1998. This was one of the top ten grossing concert tours of that year. They had plenty of exposure in the three years prior, so the enthusiasm of the fans can't be put down to nostalgia. This was a good band, nothing less nothing more. Also, best version of Heartbreaker since 1972. If you can prove me wrong, post a link.

@FrankieFlop I love JPJ but it's ridiculous to suggest that he "carried" Page from Physical Graffiti on. Fuck, he quit the band before recording sessions for Graffiti even started...not many people know that, and of course he came back, but things like Kashmir were demoed with just Jimmy and Bonzo. And yeah, his work on that album is awesome - Jimmy always talks about how much he loves the intro to In The LIght. But he also makes the point - politely - how little help he got on Presence.

@FrankieFlop I figured you were a bass player - I'm a guitarist. Funny how these things color your views, right? But then, our views aren't really that different after all. JPJ is a giant, just like the other 3. Hell, I even thought that stuff with Diamonda Gala (sp?) was cool. But you should look up "Jone Paul Jones quit Led Zeppelin" or something like that. Only Grant and Jimmy knew...and they changed his mind...but basically he was exhausted after the insane 73 US tour.
