I just got mine from B. B. T. S. today. I actually like it. It's a combination of classic and modern versions. The squinty eyes are a nod to the silver age art. The lightning bolt is modern. I agree about the splayed hands being too big. He reminds me of the John Byrne Art during the Legends mini -series which jump started the DC Universe after the Crisis on infinite earths.

I mean with that being said, it doesn't look like that either. If I were to choose one Shazam to make. He'd resemble Kingdom Come or the actor I mentioned. I'm guessing we'll get a third sometime down the road.

Okay, I’m in favor of calling him SHAZAM! .. with exclamation mark. Capt. Marvel is now too locked in with Marvel Comics & should be with Marvel being name of the comic book publisher. Why use Captain for a magical superhero anyway? Silly. Captain America is actually a Captain in the armed forces ;) So.. that head, it’s not terrible but I kinda prefer the old figure which actually isn’t hate worthy. To me the likeness should not be an actor from the 50’s but from the 90’s.. Patrick Warburton during his time on Seinfeld. He has the perfect look.. squinty eyes & a strong jaw. He could have played the part, he was 6’3” 240 lbs. & his deep voice is great. Too bad it didn’t happen.

⁠@@shawnpatrick1877I’m well aware of that characters history dating back to Fawcett Comics and he was the very first superhero to use “Captain” in his name. So what? It’s not an appropriate name for that particular character.. He’s just NOT a Captain. Captain America makes total sense using that alias.. He IS a Captain. SHAZAM! is just a lot catchier & cooler a title. Yea, the Wizard who gave Billy the power was named Shazam but I think calling him Wizard works well & give the good name to the good character I say. They also nicknamed him “The Big Red Cheese” which is so goofy, let’s leave that silly stuff in the past.
