The Disneyland Hotel is a resort hotel located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, owned by the Walt Disney Company and operated through their Parks, Experiences and Products division. Opened on October 5, 1955, as a motor inn owned and operated by Jack Wrather under an agreement with Walt Disney, the hotel was the first to officially bear the Disney name. Under Wrather's ownership, the hotel underwent several expansions and renovations over the years before being acquired by Disney in 1988. The hotel was downsized to its present capacity in 1999 as part of the Disneyland Resort expansion.

So nostalgic watching this! My ultimate memory of Disneyland, where I was a pass holder for most of the 90's was being on Alice In Wonderland during the Lion King parade and being eye to eye with one of the stilt walker. That remains one of the absolute best parades I've ever seen at the park. Ah, the days when they did a parade for each movie. 😍

My mother took us every year to Disneyland in the 70's & 80"s then Walt Disney World. I still remember how much I loved Disneyland and staying at the Disneyland Hotel. These videos bring back so many memories even though things are way different now. What a wonderful man Walt Disney was and I love that my mother educated us about how he managed to do what he did. She loved and respected him so much

Glad to see you embracing “west coast, best coast” and loving DLR. As far as essential DLR experiences, try to do the Walk in Walt’s Footsteps Tour. When I did it years ago, they brought us up into the Main Street Firehouse apartment. As far as food, you *must* have a Disneyland corn dog. And the Chili Cone Queso for the retro Handwich experience. The shawarma and falafel in Avengers campus are good quick snacks, and Make Mine Mocha at Schmoozies.

Hi Nade, What a beautiful video you have made. I myself went to Florida for the first time last March and thought it was fantastic. I have been to all the parks with my son, I have been amazed. It was indescribable in one word. We have stayed at the Cabana Bay Beach resort. The only thing I didn't like was flying, we live in the Netherlands and flew for almost 11 hours. We took home a lot of souvenirs.

Disney World used to have characters walking around. There’s no way they could do that today. One of my favorite memories was with my boys when they were little, (about 25 years ago) we were at the Marketplace (way before it was downtown Disney or Disney Springs) And Mickey just walked right up to our boys. We got the best pictures and spent so much time with him. No way he could do that now.

The classic is my favorite, especially the Adventure Tower.. I've never had less than a great experience at the DL Hotel.. I hope the new construction Downtown Disney is as good...

i love DisneyLand Hotel I went in 2000 and i had a blast the rooms were so clean, the food was good, friendly people near the monorail and i saw Cail park starting to be built,I stayed in what is now the adventure tower saw fireworks from my room too,try a frozen lemonade there are so great and refreshing

Oh my goodness Nate! I got to stay at the Disneyland Hotel in 2019. I loved it so much! I just wanted to stay in the room and look at the picture above the beds all day. Nate (and anyone else), check out the KZbin from when the dh first opened. It had 7 rooms and an extra room they used as an office. The three towers have been through three successive namings: they were originally called Bonita, Marina and Sierra (with outside glass elevator facing the park). The dh has a wonderful history. Always a great getaway.

I used to stay at the Disneyland hotel as a kid even though we lived 20 minutes away. Don’t remember much about the hotel. Thank you for showing a beautiful hotel! Have a great time on the rest of your trip! Looking forward to more videos.

I stayed at the Disneyland hotel in ‘87 when I was in high school and went to visit my best friend who had moved to CA. It was amazing and I had never stayed anywhere like it before (I had never been to a Disney park before). Just hanging out on the hotel property with my friend, eating at the hotel restaurants, jumping on the monorail to the park whenever we want…it really was magical. Nice to see it still is! Thanks for sharing this!
