Not sure this place will last long after the newness wears off. We will see. Its more of an afternoon tea/brunch type of atmosphere. At $14.99 for a slice of key lime pie and $23 for a cake slice, it will take some creativity for it to stick around.

Hi Nate, I wasn’t going to try the Cake Bake Shop when I saw the original prices. Now that the prices have been reduced and I see the portion size I might give it try. The ambiance and staff look amazing. The cake slices really are expensive but at least they are big enough to share. Thanks for the video!

Thanks Nate for the great review.....the Indiana location is 15 mins from me and i have enjoyed it many times.....a very special place indeed!!!.....the Chicken Velvet soup is quite famous in Indy as it was first served many years ago at the Ayres store located on the circle downtown Indy!!....the soup was so fantastic that it was a tradition especially at holiday time to dine at Ayres and enjoy the Chicken Velvet!!

Aldi's has great crab cakes in the freezer section, all meat, very little filler, for $6.49 for 2. The burger looks like it had McDonalds amount of onions. The gumbo didn't appear to have any shrimp or sausage in it, or much chicken for that price. Sorry, I work too hard to eat there.

Everyone is going crazy about the price of a slice. Here in Indy the price per slice is $16-$18. The food prices very similar to what they are here at home as well. It’s pricey but that slice of cake is so massive it easily feeds two/three people. Their cakes are so rich, you cannot eat a whole slice. So the price per person isn’t that bad. I ordered the champagne cake for my wife’s birthday this year, we had 15 people and had a third of the cake leftover. It was really good. Children’s menu is priced the same as Indy locations. People should get over the sticker shock and stop blaming Disney, this is just the price of business today. That real estate isn’t cheap down there! We are almost 25 years into a new century, it’s not the 90s anymore😂

I was thinking that, too. at Cheesecake Factory a slice of cheesecake is like $11.... so $23/$24 for a slice that big that feeds 2 people is on par.

I love The Cake Bake Shop. There are only three of them in the world. Two locations in Indiana, and the new location at Disney. I'm happy that one of the Indiana locations is ten minutes away from my house. It is a place to celebrate a special occasion, definitely. And darn.. we don't have a carousel. That is really nice. ❤
