Sir is right. Now a days, NET is a strong reason to be a criteria to get into phd. And ugc doesn't put it as a rule. But still it is happening. In fact iits, and mostly all top universities blindly take jrfs. Not even NET. So try best for jrf.

You are always correct . NET is compulsory , it's ok if they do mandatory JRF for assistant professor too. But Ph.D shouldn't be compulsory for assistant professor. Because a student should have interest to go ahead for Ph.D . They cannot force us to go for ph.d to be a assistant professor.And plus we the students are so much pressurised by this UGC because of there mismanagement . I am requesting to all the students and those who are reading my comment please raise your voice to stop 🛑 making ph.d mandatory .

Right Mam... Everyone is not interested in PhD. I personally like to do research but for updating my knowledge, writing good content etc yet I'm not interested in PhD just for the sake of that title of Dr. & I've not enough time to do it hoping that one day I'll earn in lakhs because of PhD qualification...

JRF is just a fellowship , there is no relationship of it with eligibility criteria for Assistant professor

@@sonu1704 Yes right but if government is ready to give you fellowship for your subject... It indicates your excellence in that subject.... One word ' JRF '. It also matters a lot... It's sign of an excellence.

Sonu, you are absolutely correct,but there was a time till 2014-15 if one have only net no jrf, one will become a guest lecturer in govt degree colleges. After that things have been changed drastically due to overpopulation of country as well as fucking 80 percent reservation criteria even after 75 years of independence, deliberately closing all possibilities to get a job in govt colleges consciously by govt, making no appropriate job is available for a net jrf+ PhD completed candidate especially he belongs to general caste, lower middle class,rural, male,science background...

Sir you are right . Personally im diversified due to this and now when i looked back after my 8 year of master. I went in deep ocean of guiltyness. Its not feasible to all to face net and pet simultaneously.

Sir I just completed my graduation. I am in my PG now.I was always very excited regarding my PG.Because I used to think after PG I will give net and can apply for the position of assistant professor.But sir seeing your videos which explains the current true scenario I have got very demotivated to even complete my PG.I have started to feel why am I studying this if there is gonna be no job at the end.

Aap central universities try karein. Ya iits aur nits try karein. Wahan di jati hai if you choose assistantship. But I agree ki net walo ko v mandatory dena chahiye ya jrf percentage padhaein. Ya atleast phd seats. Competition is way too high anf india has really good students but lesser seats.

Hello sir. This might sound as over smartness ,but I am a student of 1st year English honours from Karnataka, I have begin my preparation for net examination from now itself. I am sure that this is very early stage but, my dreams and goals are very high. Passion towards literature has brought me so far, I am also working on my research area as well ,as we got implemented with new education policy which made compulsory to do a minor research project in our second and third year followed by a major research in our 4th year to complete our honours degree. Is it beneficial if I start preparing for net from now itself? Does it assists me really in future? Along with this, I am a visually challenged, " blindness in both the eyes". Despite this, I love to take the challenges and reach my goal with commitment.
