I mean I love watches, but I'll never understand why some guys want to own a whole box full of highly expensive models; they all need insurance and servicing, there's security concerns, and if you wear a different one each day, then none of them are ever really "your" watch. I guess I wouldn't care if I was worth 100 million plus, but I don't think that applies to any of these guys. Owning more than 2-3 expensive watches at the same time just seems completely pointless and unsatisfying to me. And weirdly, the more luxury watches you keep in one place, the cheaper they look. You place a well-worn Sub on your coffee table and it looks like a million bucks; you place 8 Pateks/APs/Rolex in a watchbox, and they look like cheap jewelry.

Most that come here are collectors and appreciate the differences that variety allows. I also collect modern combat pistols, guitars, and pocket knives as well as watches. I found a terminal point in all my collections but enjoy every piece in each one and each has its own occasion to use. You do not have to justify why you like to collect, you just do it for the appreciation.

I fail to see the logic in your argument . If you can afford such expensive watches you can also afford good security measures and insurance and just because you wear different watches everyday doesn’t disqualify them as your watch . I have met collectors who have 100 watches and they can remember the story and connection with every watch in their collection . How many watches you have comes down to person and how much he wears those and what kind of connection he has to those . And 8 rolexes and pateks kept together look cheap only to you 😂

Nice pieces... I would be aiming for a bit more variety and (keeping the price of the alternatives close) would sacrifice one of the Daytonas for a Sky Dweller... also id drop one of the Submariners for a Two-tone Datejust Wimbledon... Id also prefer an Explorer 1 over the Milgaus. In truth tho, there are no Duds at all in this lineup. Wear in good health
