Paige is doing a great job with a great attitude. The elite group is doing a great job to support and rehab Paige. You see the recovery process working. It's great and amazing. God is blessing her for her faithfulness and passion for the game. Adversity should make the best in us. Her test will be her testimony and she will teach others who go thru the test you can do all things through Christ which strengthen her.

Ppl be like " shes so overrated " and shes actually out there beating other teams with an injured ankle LOL
@UConnNation123 жыл бұрын
If anyone says shes overrated have never watched her play. She has better skills than a majority of D1 guy ballers. How smooth she moves combined with a perfect motion, release, ability to create off the dribble and feather touch, natural instincts, passing ability, ect is something extremely rare. And now with Azzi showing up and Dorka, two time all first team Big Ten, along with everyone else, good luck playing with U Conn next season. U Conn made the Final 4 with Paige barely at 70% and not tons of help from the bigs. Aaliyah Edwards is solid though. Liv Ododa....mmmm, who knows?

Thinking about how rehab is done today versus the past brings to mind Wilt Chamberlain's 1969/70 season. In his first 9 games that season he averaged 32 points and 20 rebounds a game. In that 9th game he ruptured his patellar tendon completely. He had surgery immediately and came back to finish the last 3 games of the season. He essentially missed 70 games. The Lakers made it all the way to the Finals but lost game 7 to the Knicks when Willis Reed came back from injury in the 7th game to inspire his team to victory. Chamberlain never really looked like himself during the playoffs. He lost lateral quickness and speed. Yet he averaged 47 minutes a game. Some people criticized Chamberlain because they didn't win. They claim he dogged it. In reality, if they held him out based on the current procedural requirements for that injury he would have only come back to play basketball 4 days after that game 7. He played all those games and minutes on a bum knee. Willis Reed is known as the hero of that series because he came back from injury and played a few minutes in game 7. Chamberlain averaged 47 minutes a game throughout the playoffs on a bum knee and was considered to be the reason the Lakers lost. Does that seem fair? After that 1969/70 season, Chamberlain's scoring average and rebounding averages went down. He never seemed to be the same player even though his team won a championship in that 71/72 season. Who knows how he would have played if he had the rehab resources we currently have and followed the current rehab requirements for that injury.

The sports media has reported paige has had a number of ankle injuries going back to her high school career. She should consult with a sport trainer and a economics athletic basketball shoe designer company to provide or design shoes that support and prevent ankle injuries. Example Grant Hill along with some other pro basketball players wore and indorce stylish shoes, although they were not OK to play basketball at a hundred % in. At paiges level she could indorce and a athletic shoe design for her style of play and physical safety level.
