That help defense at 1:56 was taught. This team is well coached and works hard. The help defender steps up to pickup Paige while the og defender immediately slides to cover the pickers roll and successfully cuts it off. Paige is a genius sees the roll is getting cut off and the new defender will have adequate defense position so simply pulls up into a clean jumper. That whole series is just sick by all 4

She not only has the game but the charisma that is needed to lift a sport. The WNBA has been lacking this. Current great players like EDD or CP3 just don't got that charisma or play to attract a mainstream crowd, Paige I believe, does.

286mic I’m guessing you never heard of Cynthia Cooper this has ALWAYS been in the game y’all don’t watch or pay attention
@286mic4 жыл бұрын
@@bunchy215 did the WNBA grow from Cynthia since she retired? Has the WNBA popularity grown over 23 years of play? No it hasn't. In fact it's gone down and its the NBA that's paying to keep them alive. Don't act like you know more cause you can spit a few names from the 90s. The women's game is boring it's not exciting. Never was. Hasn't been. Paige has the game to change that, there has never been a girl that plays like her. You can show me stats of how great some players are but they boring AF to watch, that's the hard truth about the WNBA. Paige can change that. Much like how there was Julius Erving or Jerry West before the 80s the NBA was dying until Magic and Bird came along. Cynthia Cooper and Sheryl Swoops were great, but Paige is Magic. And Hailey Van Lith is probably gonna be her Bird. So stfu before you go around thinking you know something, child.

The more important question is, when it doesn't happen are you going to return to this thread and admit you were wrong? To be frank, rhere is something a bit odd about some of this rabid support, and suspect some of your obsessions may have more to do with who she is, than what her game is about

Wanna see how long she keeps the "slang talking" up. Personally, I have no problem with how she talks but as athletes move up in the game and start "representing" a university or getting sponsors, the language seems to magically clean up as well..... so we'll see. She's a good player though.
@kayleebain21694 жыл бұрын
Carl Stokes That’s not her “slang talk” that’s how she normally talks. It’s how she’s always talked.
@carlstokes98344 жыл бұрын
@@kayleebain2169 Is it?? Is it?? I don't think so. How we'll know is when she gets to college and starts to become aware of "representing the University", sponsorships that may or may not "influence " how she presents herself. Someone with a Southern Drawl can't change that drawl unless they are an actor and/or train themselves to change the way they talk. So IF she really talks like this, then she'll talk like this throughout adulthood. We'll have to see.

@@carlstokes9834 she has been talking like this for ever why would she make up an accent
@carlstokes98344 жыл бұрын
@@taylorrosepalmore2318 The only way you would know this is if you live with her. And remember, I'm not talking about her as a player. We all know she's talented. I'm only "wondering" if the slang changes with the awareness of representing a University or Sponsorships. Time will tell...

Paige: One Question.... Why do you miss so many baskets in the game and not in practice, I know the video was edited, outside of this fact.....Why!!!!!!! You should never miss more than 10% of your layups or bunny shots for the rest of your life and it will be a long one.... 75 % from the rest of the field and ding the bell for this one.....make 90 % from the charity stripe/foul line!!!!!!!! Finger tips only on the ball only and while you have the ball in your possession eyes wide open and no blinking and lots of backspin and the gooseneck follow through which ends in you simulating grabbing the basket... index and middle finger pointing at the basket.... Someday you will be able to shoot for 20 to 30 minutes by yourself from anywhere on the half court without missing and game speed/action time!!!!!!! But I doubt you go 3 minutes now!!!!!!!! Take the Challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@taylorrosepalmore23184 жыл бұрын
Your not gonna make all the shots you take you know that right ? Every single one of them missed shots in a game but it doesn't matter cause they still win . Any way practice is different then the game
@stanwebb34804 жыл бұрын
Yes but the better in practice then the better chance not to miss in a game!!!! Set goals for your self and try to achieve them....Shooting is like reps in a weight room up down etc... Muscle memory, the mechanics is the rep!!
