Actually what Danzo and the elders say in the beginning makes sense (even if they are not the best people). Bringing Naruto closer to the Akatsuki is the biggest threat out there, much bigger than destruction of one village. There is no evidence whatsoever that Naruto can protect himself because every other Jinchuriki exept for Killer B was captured by the Akatsuki and those Jinchuriki were definitely stronger than Naruto because unlike him they had WAY BETTER control of their Taled Beasts (just like B and Two Tailed chick, who instead of loosing their mind just because they are angry like Naruto, actually use their full form). Mind you they were taken down by the Akatsuki members who were definitely weaker than Pain. Danzo is a dick and his methods are horrible, I can’t even say his goals aren’t - he is definitely not a good person, however sometimes he makes much more sense than Tsunade, who lets Naruto roam free on the missions involving Akatsuki just because she believes in him.

I agree, but disagree. If he stays underground and keeps Naruto away, the entire village is going to be pillaged either way, and it's not like Pain will stop looking for Naruto. instead of getting Naruto a chance to fight, he effectively seals everyone's doom and allowed the whole village to get shinra tensei'd. I think both parties were unfathomably stupid, Tsunade for blindly believing in naruto (in their universe you wouldn't want to believe in some kid on this level of threat), and Danzo for not believing in a kid who has proved himself repeatedly to be a prodigy with great potential. Both sides should've CHECKED to see how strong naruto has trained before blindly making a decision. After thinking about it for a while this is what I've come up with :)

@@HeisutenReacts From his perspective, he sees Naruto as the container for the Nine-Tailed fox so he doesn't know Naruto as well as people like Tsunade. He never got to know Naruto and that's why he wanted to keep Naruto away. If I were Danzo, I wouldn't know that Naruto is this surprisingly talented ninja who pulls a win out of his ass no matter impossible situation 99% of the time. All I know is if Pain beat Jiraiya, what hope could Naruto have against him. I know the Akatsuki have been collecting Bijuus for something bad that could threaten not just one nation but all of them. On top of that, the Nine Tails is the only tailed beast the Leaf has. The other villages have one or more. If a village loses a tailed beast, they may as well be the other village's bitch. Evidenced by the first arc where Gaara and the Sand invades and the only reason they fought off Gaara was because Naruto was there and he tapped into the power of his own tailed beast to help save the day. If I weigh pros and cons, I would've chosen to hidden Naruto too.

This anime definitely teaches you the pain of loosing people you care about, if you haven't experienced that irl, you can understand it through via the show. RIP kakashi sensai, RIP itachi, RIP jiraiya, and that messanger frog. Lady chiyo and so on. Haku and zabusa man I loved there charchters also. So many things/life lessons you can correlate to irl life. Just it hits diffrent its special for this reason this show is my personal favorite anime always and forever since I seen it as a kid too adult hood. The passing of generations in the show is something special

Been watching anime since 1986. The really good anime will have you in your feels 2, maybe 3 episodes of the ENTIRE series. Naruto does 2-3 "feels" episodes every arc. SO FAR we've had Iruka acknowledging Naruto, Naruto's childhood, the death of Hiruzen, the supposed death of Choji and Neji, countless flashbacks, Obito's death, Minato is gone, Asuma's death, Jiraiya's death, Naruto finding out about Jiraiya's death, and Kakashi's death. Trust me, we've ALL shed tears. If I've forgotten about some feels, comment. But remember... I said SO FAR.

Here's a simple logic though. Of course WE know how strong Naruto is because we see him all the time. We see his progress. Imagine being in those elder's position who know nothing about Naruto except that he's just a kid and he's Akatsuki's target and even older jinjuurikis have been taken by the Akatsuki. Of course they can't just put their faith on him and suddenly say "hey Akatsuki, is this boy who you're looking for?". If they hide Naruto, the village will be destroyed, then Akatsuki still have to search for him. If they give summon Naruto back, and he got defeated and taken away, the village will be destroyed and also the whole world. That's their concern ad advisors. Simple as that. And by the way, you're not hating Danzo enough. You'll find out in future episodes. Haha
