5:20 Primeval Spawn cannot be cheated into play, it can only be cast, They put special wording to prevent people cheesing its LTB

First off I like your content your upgrades always seem very well thought out, but I have two points I have to put out there. 1. I believe you miss spoke a companion isn't the 101st card it is part of your 100 total cards. (I researched more and it seems I was misinformed.) 2. Tiller engine is way to good to cut it helps your tempo at all points in the game due to the number of lands that enter tapped. How the beauty of a deck like this is how open ended it is.

Tiller Engineer (and by extension Archelos, Lagoon Mystic) are both really solid, but I found in testing that they kind if dropped off in the mid/late game when we would rather be drawing multicolored spells that synergize with Jared or proc our payoffs. They are by no means bad however (since they can really speed up our slow manabase in the early game), and I can certainly see the argument for leaving them in - its just, for me anyway, they seemed a but redundant after overhauling our ramp and lands. Hope that helps explain my reasoning.

Here comes the Pain Train! Gotta say, that is quite the amazing upgrade, perfect for Jared's glorious return from the closet- I mean from Commander Legends! Though I still wish the deck itself had all the REAL triomes instead of the bootlegs. Also holy damn, Jared on a Moose! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! Along with Garth! My boy! As for preferred commanders from Dominaria 2: Phyrexian Boogaloo... something white. In memory of the fallen Ajani. (Look how they massacred my boy...) Day 371 of waiting for the Grazzet MTG face reveal. So, now that the Warhammer decks are revealed... thoughts on them? I am still kinda disappointed there are no Tau, but kinda hype nonetheless. Hopefully I can eventually tell my opponents "Yeah, they suck at melee. Good luck getting there."

Glad you enjoyed it! There's quite a few legends in white for this set - Danitha, Benalia's Hope, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrimm, Queen Allenal of Ruadach, etc - so we'll certainly have plenty of choices to pick from! As far as the Warhammer 40k Precons - I'm really lookign forward to them. I'm a big fan of the franchise and seeing it crossing over to MTG was a great surprise. And even though Orks didn't get thier own deck, they are supposed to be getting a secret lair - so looks like I'll need to give WotC some more money to play with my greenskins!

The only way you get value off Primeval spawn being cheated in would be if you cheat it in with a cost reduction like the 1st jodah, if no mana was spent to cast it, it never ETBs for the second clause to happen. "if it WOULD enter the battlefield" Not sure if that changes if you would still include it or not

Yeah, that was an oversight on my part and a few folks gave brough it to my attention. I think its still worth running in this build since it definitely has the ramp to get to the CMC 10 casting cost though.

If I wanted to run Jenson Carthalion as the commander here, I know it would be as efficient of a deck, but do you think it would still work with these upgrades? or would it be too inconsistent? I’m…a keeper?! *visible happiness* For real, nice upgrades! Muldrotha, the Gravetide would also make for a nice upgrade here. 3 colours but there is a decent spread of permanent types to take advantage of her talents. Plays such as pumping a few creatures by killing Jared, recasting him then either making another kavu or dumping more counters down seems pretty tasty. Another upgrade for those with loose attachment to the coin in their coffers is Dream Halls. With colours across the map, you are never short on fodder for it.

Gotta keep Baleful Strix - just too much value! Glad you agree with my choices! I thought about adding Muldrotha for the sheer amoung of value she can get us from the bin but sadly it was out of budget... Still, if you have her already or just want to go above my budget, she would certainly make a great addition!

this is amazing very close to how i was gonna build it for suggestions i got Samite Elder and Spirit of resistance Elder: its Mother of Runes on steriods in this deck (you tap chose a permanent you control then every single creature gains protection from the colors it is...not only rescue your board from a blasphemous act also make the board persudo unblockable (only colorless can block) Spirit of resistance: your practically invincible with this have all 5 colors of permanents in play and all types of damage don't work on you (doesn't save you from life lose though)

I love your videos, but I have one complaint. I wish you would provide a l8nk to tcgplayer or to the deckilist that would be just for the cards you have as additions. None of the cards that are already in the deck that are being kept or the expensive upgrades. Just the cards you suggest as additions.

From what i understand, you can't really cheat primeval spawn, if you would cast him for free or cheat it into play he goes directly into exile without triggering the second ability ''If primeval spawn WOULD enter the battlefield..''. I totally missed the mutate guys, definetly going to add those.

PSA re: Primeval Spawn: Cheating this into play will *not* trigger it's "leaves the battlefield" ability, because it never even touches the battlefield. Coming into play will be replaced by being exiled.

Sorry for the late response! For the lands - swapping out the trilands (Arcane Sanctum, Crumbling Necropolis, etc) for the triomes would be the first change (since they are more easily fetchable and can be cycled), while the battlelands (Sunken Hollow, Smoldering Marsh, etc) can be exchanged for the shocklands to help speed up the mana base. Ramses, Assassin Lord is indeed a very mean commander - pretty much forcing you to "pick on" the weakest player for the win since you only need to target the weakest link to win. Maybe I'll put him on a poll with other "mean" commanders from this set....

Nice! I ordered painbow:) i dont have some of these cards but what i do have is close enough! As far as dominaria deckbuilds id like to see you cover- Any commander You want to build, why you are building it, how it will work, what it is inspired by and if its being built in paper for your personal play and collection. Also if it follows a budget constraint or not and which cards you own that are going into it prior to things you had to order to complete the build. You have a hand on the leylines of magic but i really think we all want to see what pulses through your veins of interest as well:)

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Sorry for the confusion - I did mean 3, since it costs 3 generic to put our companion from the "Companion Zone" to our hands after they errated how companions work - so we would have to pay 3 to get Jengatha to hand and the 5 to play her. Hope that clears that up!

That is a good question.... I think is primarily because people tend to forget it exists, though it would be a solid addition.

I tested it in mine i do agree its underrated but i feels slow here it cost 5 mana for the initial cast and you need 7 total to do it right off the bat but here's the real ticket to why it not overly handy if you look in deck list the muticolor support cards care about cards being cast "Tome of the Guildpact" and "ramos" are good examples

Jodah, the Unifier would make for a pretty powerful 5 color commander, but we would have to make significant changes to the build to make it more legendary focused.

After completing your suggested swap outs, what would you consider swapping out to bring in Child of Alara and Ramos, Dragon Engine?

I would say swapping out Fusion Elemental for Child of Alara would be the most obvious choice as a strick upgrade from a vanilla creature to a more potent one, and Hero of Precinct One for Ramos, Dragon Engine seems like a good swap since on turn 2 we'll likely be ramping and Ramos later is a better payoff. Hope that helps!

@@GrazzetMTG Thank you! As a new player I appreciate the easy to understand explanations and you taking the time to help. I wanted to add a few more upgrades and wondered your thoughts if they fit well. Some remaining upgrades I have are Maelstrom Wanderer (Legendary Creature), Bring to Light (Sorcery), Spirit of Resistance (Enchantment) & Dragon Arch (Artifact). For Dragon Arch I already swapped out Prophetic Prism & Obsidian Obelisk for Timeless Lotus & Chromatic Lantern but it seems like a good card to bring in. Same with Spirit of Resistance and Bring to light, they seem handy but not sure how needed they are and what to take out.
