When I trust fully that Christ took my punishment for me, I am at rest. When I make my heavenly father, the only person I have to, please, I am at peace, when I can love other people out of I love that he gives me, and I don’t need them. I need to depend on God. I have a heavenly father who is full of mercy, grace, love, understanding, empower me with his Holly Spirit, protects me… I do my best to keep following the Bible but he helps me. He is not punishing. He is my safety. I am building a public KZbin play list of Christian songs that remind me how I am safe. kzbin.info/aero/PL-O7urpLouJ6sJhZ3cwzG-ftb3jKVR-th&si=rEdBrOCLs2mHm62X

Kathleen I know where you are coming from. I felt like God was putting so much pressure on myself and pain was the end result. I have come to a point where I realize I was putting pressure on myself that God hadn't necessarily put there. Jesus says Love is the most important thing. We are told "Love is the whole of the law". In 1st John 4 we are told that "God has NOT, given us the spirit of fear but of power, LOVE and a sound mind." The answer to feeling safe and loved by God is to believe His encouragement and promises. We are told God loves us and Jesus loves us. Many have heard this but haven't been able to really internalize it yet. Yes there are many angry "Christians" out there but if we believe the encouraging words of Jesus and come to know He loves us and made us right through His final work. We are told salvation it is a free gift, not by works". We just have to really take hold of this promise and look to Jesus and His love for us. Avoid the difficult passages at least for now and really internalize that we are loved and safe. I know this can be hard to do but it is the foundation that will carry us through and bring peace to our lives. I became a spiritual legalist and perfectionist and it broke me down. All joy was lost and fell into the fear based thinking. Over and over again it's all about love. And we must really understand and come to know that God loves us and Jesus loves us. The striving for perfection is a death sentence. When we know we are loved our lives will improve and that love will extend to others around us. I know many throw it all out but I have decided to believe in Jesus love for me and as 1 John 4 says, "perfect love cast out all fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made complete in love. We love Him because He first loved us". If we get this down, the fear will disappear. And right there we are told not to fear so I think really relying on these scriptures, that we are loved and secure. Not by anything we do or have to earn but by Jesus love for us and His promises. This is a big change I am making and its crucial because fear is a killer of joy, peace and health. But true love brings peace, joy and good health.

I married a religious narcissist who continually reminded me how unworthy I was. God is bringing me out of this. It doesn’t happen in one day..though it could..but as we are ready Jesus perfects us. I am better much better now than I was 10 years ago! I am Worthy! May God Bless us All who need this!

This was a good one Dan. I just had a relapse. I didn’t freak out like the past. Lots of body pain. Was gone less than 2 hours. Just stop thinking about it and did some breathing. Went about my day. Just so everyone knows it’s been a two year battle of pain and symptoms. Last three months after finding people like Dan it’s night and day. I got my life back. You have to let whatever it is go, relax/ breathe and move. It 💯 works. Way too much to say. Just keep hearing what Dan is saying. You will get better. Thanks Dan.

It’s true. It’s only been 4 days since finding about you Dan. Been implementing your “don’t fear symptoms” approach and purposefully doing things I normally fear due to the palpitations and arrhythmias and I’ll be honest with you the frequency has cut down a lot. And even when my heart does start flipping it stops as quick as it comes because I don’t panic about it! I can only imagine how doing this over time can reprogram the stress response and stop sudden adrenaline surges all together!

When I look at where I was this time last year compared to where I am now, I get a huge grin on my face and give thanks. I’m no longer heavily drugged 24/7 and still in pain despite the meds. It’s like black and white. My GP and I reduced my meds again a fortnight ago and my brain totally freaked out and I’m managing a pain flair. I was sooking to myself about it and giving myself a mental lashing for not doing so well and not sailing through the medication reduction and had to 🛑!!! Instead I’m reminding myself of how far I’ve come, the effective strategies I’ve used and just kept on going. I’m loving finding myself laughing again. Leanne Morgan is my new best friend (she doesn’t know it yet, but she’ll find out sooner or later😉) and I take time to watch her comedy and laugh and laugh. And then I realise the sensations are reduced and get on with my day. So, again and again: THANK YOU, Dan. 🙏🏼

May I ask if you are literally pain free now and do not take any medications? And what is your activity level now? I already have a healthy dialogue regarding my pain, and feel my emotions, don't take it seriously at all, understand it intellectually..but symptoms are still there. I relax my body, know i'm safe, completely, but still same thing. Im not afraid of it im so used to it. I exercise through pain, talk to people through pain, sleep with pain, and im ok with it. No fear. Another irony is that many weeks or even a few months can go by and I am dealing with huge stressors, yet I am NOT in pain, so there is no concrete correlation. High stress and fear no pain. Living ok, ..pain comes. No rhyme or reason. Lol I think that there is even a higher intelligence that is directing these things. But obviously not for this conversation. Very thankful for your support here and really interested in learning more about the brain, that dictates everything...Even though we are not the body, and not even the mind. Thank you

Yes, I have not had any chronic pain for the past 14 years. My activity level is unrestricted. When pain comes - it is because at either a conscious or subconscious level, the brain is perceiving some element of danger. Pain is a warning signal, but chronic pain is most often a mistake and false alarm. It's our job to respond to it with clarity, a deep knowing that our bodies are fine, calm reassurance. @@PainFreeYou Thank you for sharing. This is where its leading to..! I will be looking at these. Chronic pain is definitely partially mentally perceived, and old habits of fear etc. that play the loop in your head and you never get better. However, old bones are just that, and when we get older we become degenerated which is normal and that causes pain and aches and that is not fear based nor perceived as a false alarm. Its real, it is natural. All of the natural pain that we have getting older etc, is normal. It is not the body's fear. It is the body letting us know and we have the response naturally because our body is an amazing machine. Someone that has worked many years and has a sore back due to work or age, is just that. It is not because they are afraid or creating fear, they simply have an old back, simple as that.

@@elizabethjones3736 Not all perceived danger is in the conscious brain. Much of it is in the subconscious. Regarding aging and degeneration, I don't believe aging is supposed to hurt. There are studies that show percentages of disc / joint degeneration in people with NO symptoms. Age 60 - 88%, Age 70 - 93%, Age 80 - 96% have degeneration, yet NO pain. Degeneration is a normal thing, but it does not hurt. If you would like to understand, watch the videos I shared with you before.

I don't recommend we ignore symptoms. I suggest we rule out life threatening issues and then rule IN the mindbody reason and true cause for the pain or other symptoms. how can we break that fear program/ when we had it a long time and its taken away all desire to interact in the world? I have noted your teaching, but my brain has not felt ok for a long time. I know I have to put in the effort..but fighting my mind every day...so tiring.

Hi Dan, I feel safe physically, mentally and emotionally when I go to sleep but my brain thinks I’m danger when I’m asleep so when I wake up my heart is always racing, I’m anxious, the thoughts are gearing up etc. so basically I go into flight / fight mode during sleep. I’ve eliminated alcohol, caffeine, strengthened my adrenals etc and I’m getting better at calming this on wake up so it doesn’t last as long as it used to but I’m wondering how can I retrain my brain so it doesn’t happen when in this subconscious state. I’ve observed it also happens even if I have a day time nap. It’s hard to find info on this. I don’t know if you have any advice

I'm so sorry you are between that rock and hard place. And in the end, it depends on the extent of his behavior. Will a split affect the kids? Yes. Will staying with someone who doesn't treat you well affect the kids? Probably. This is something you are going to have to figure out on your own. the good news is that despite the relationship, there is no need for the physical pain or symptoms to persist. @@crystalH30

Hello. I have found liatening to a couple of your videos is helping me came out of of panic, underlying fear feelings which i think i have from being an overthinking person, from recovering from tramautic childhood. Sometimes the fear can be almost all comsuming, then i will feel more frustrated at myself. This supports me talking my mind down from those times and also soothing myself when in a flashback or triggered. Thank you 😊

Dan I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your videos have transformed me into the me I’ve always wanted to become a professional painter I’m not one yet. You’re videos have helped me get out of bad days that I would’ve normally have happened instead created a better day for myself knowing that they are my own thoughts and my thoughts are what making me feel bad so I think of better thoughts. That practice and others have let me sit and paint and actually get stuff done and one day you’ll know my name Edwin. Thanks again Dan.

Hi Dan, I am new to your videos and I am loving them! I was wondering if there was a video you could guide me to that talks about building that foundation? You talk about the foundation in this video being key for implementing safety. To know what is causing symptoms, know that is what is going on for me, know there is a cure and knowing that I am capable of implementing it. I am feeling like I am needing to build that foundation as I am not sure my brain knows/believes all those statements and I really want to believe them! Thank you for all the work you are doing, it gives me hope that I can release the fear and find some relief.

When we are in fight or flight, the brains primary objective is safety and survival. Joy and optimism are not on the priority list if your brain is terrified. Safety is the solution.

Thanks Dan! This helps. I am going to do/try. The difficult thing is that it hurts soooooo much, I almost can’t walk and sit (my feet hurt too much and my sit bones/ass too, but I went to swim 💪) so I cant’t bare the pain. I don’t think I am too scared, but I just can’t stand it -:( so I avoid sitting and walking (wrong!) Well deep sigh, and take baby steps , really had to laugh when you told your story 😅. I’ll keep that in mind …Again, thanks so much, Sophie from Amsterdam
