Telling a young man he will never be out of pain should be malpractice, I have herniated discs degenerative discs no one ever said you can’t ever get better they might’ve been thinking it but they never said it. My main problem is trigeminal neuralgia I don’t really talk about my back pain because I’ve had it since I was a kid got worse after I threw my back out in college playing tennis, and every time I lifted some thing or did some thing I shouldn’t do during my 20s and 30s I’d be in pain.Can’t walk through three theme park since a kid without having to constantly bend over and feel like I need a wheelchair. So I don’t really discuss my back pain very much if I could get rid of that too it would be wonderful but I’ve had it for many many years. The success stories are the best thing for me right now as I’m beginning this process because it increases my belief system. So thank you for this story!

Well done Alex !So happy you found your healing interview on you tube with Dan and could improve so quickly ! The obsession of wanting to get better at any cost is just normal ! If doctors label you with incurable stuff, that’s like a death sentence and who would not start fighting and pushing against that! Which in itself is so distressing for the brain that’s already overwhelmed ! For me you are 💯 recovered from chronic pain.. human pain is normal and can be dealt with. Sorry you had to go through such tough years but look at you now: a fit wise young man with a brilliant life ahead! Enjoy!!! Thanks Dan and Matt for spoiling us with another gem of hope! 🙏🤗👏👏👏

You mention chiropractors aren’t trained in the mind body aspect of things (which is true) but good news is my husband (who is a chiropractor in Canada) has completely added mind body therapy into his current practice. I have TMS and it took us both down a crazy road which turned into him changing his practice into more mind body (TMS) work. Yes the body does get injured and he helps so many with muscle injuries but has also gone the way of TMS with many patients he knows is TMS and not anything actually physically “wrong” with him. So hopefully more practitioners out there in the chiro,physio, massage world learn more about Mind Body.

I can relate so much with Alex ,being so young and fit then people ask you to help lift something and having to say no that what absolutely destroyed me😢. I looked so strong fit etc then being out performed by my wife who is half my weight size . I used to be the person who would go out of my way to help people and now being labled the lazy guy this was nearly worse than the back pain . Thanks for the vids 👍 🇬🇧

When I went to P.T. for a couple of months, my pain flared up. I was actually scared, before going, that I would have a flare up because that’s what happened to me in 2016. Pain got worse. Dry needling caused a flare up for SIX days and I had a horrible headache behind one eye and the top of my shoulder. All the various physical therapists that I saw asked me what I do to relax and to remember to deep breathe. Asked me when my last massage was because my muscles are so tight. I stopped going after the dry needling episode and stumbled upon this information a few weeks ago.

Good interview! Thank you! Dan, do you have an interview of someone who has TMS lower back pain for over a decade, and who has been in recovery for over 2 years successfully? (besides you)
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
I don't have an index for which success stories meet specific criteria. However, there are a number of back recovery success stories. kzbin.info/aero/PLRJmnkn2kTTIFQdggCj5blCYWTENhppHs

Further, the length of time someone had pain does not matter. If it's TMS, recovery is available.

I love these stories of getting better. Although I get triggered hearing them sometimes. Dan, is there a way if you so inclined to put time stamp on when the story goes from the list of problems to when it resolves ? I really appreciate you and your channel ❤
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, my work load is so busy that once I record it, I do not listen back to the whole interview and do any additional work on organizing the content. I believe it's best to listen to the whole story so you have the context of the experience. As for being triggered, building resilience to other peoples stories is really important. Just remind yourself that their story is NOT your story.

@@PainFreeYou good idea and I suppose I can comment with time stamp for your viewers. Yes you are busy and you do these videos every day !

Dan please please do a testimonial of someone had post injury years prior and still in this space. As you told me the body heals and you can still be stuck in TMS just like those were that woke up one day or gradual onset like so so many of these testimonials. I get that some of these might very well have had incidents prior that they thought nothing about and or eventually caught up that they never linked even though it was stilll TMS causing it. It would help a lot of people understand that there may be no difference in looping based on onset which for many of us is where we get stuck thanks
@PainFreeYou3 ай бұрын
Stacy: I don't know how I can search for and do a testimonial based on your very specific request. Injuries DO heal. Pain can stay on due to fear and attention. YOUR specific situation is way more important than finding someone to fit your testimonial criteria. How your pain started is completely not important. Why it persists we can find out with the assessments. What is your score on the pain test? How many true answers on the FIT assessment questions? IsThisTMS.com And what specific injury did you sustain years ago? How did it happen? And what proof of injury do you have? Did you fracture something?

Hey Dan, I’ve been on the TMS path for about a year now, mainly with IBS (have gotten over my back pain/sciatica but not IBS). Your videos have been super helpful through the process for me, but digestive issues are tricky. Just wondering, how often do you see success stories like Alex’s for people with IBS/reflux type symptoms?
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
It's pretty common. Digestion is suppressed when in stress. That allows reflux and symptoms called IBS to occur. Stressing out about a stress induced condition is like pouring gas on the fire and wondering why it won't go out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKvEY5yKd513mdU kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqrEfZKAlsyplbM&pp=gAQBiAQB kzbin.info/www/bejne/joWYeHqweMutmdU

Hey Dan Can facet arthropathy pain also go by following Dr Sarnos approach
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
facet arthropathy pain is a medical diagnosis. The rule of thumb is to see if those "defects" are the cause of the pain or symptoms or not. Take the pain test. If you score 30 or above, that means your symptoms are behaving like they are created in the brain and not from a structural defect. If TMS - the body is not the cause. I'm not debating the imaging study. What I might suggest is that what you see on the image is not the cause of the pain. Take the pain test: YourPainTest.com

@@PainFreeYou i scored 38/39 But I want to know what is the reality of asymptomatic facet arthropathy, what is its percentage If you could provide me with that resources it would of help. Thanks

@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
@@harshparekh5033 I am not a doctor, nor do I track statistics on medical diagnosis. However when I google asymptomatic facet arthropathy, this comes up. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6547401/ A score of 38/39 means that the medical diagnosis is irrelevant. Your brain is creating the pain, not your body.
