Ohhh... That's awesome, Lee! Thanks a lot! 😃 For track vehicles it's going to be great! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Good vid, saving this one. Have an ambition to build a dual motor, dual steering crawler and put each axel on a stick. Still need to find the right platform though, not many dual steering/motor rigs around.

Hmm not sure where my comment went... But reporting when setting up with forward and reverse on a switch on throttle, it LOOKS like the motors will go in reverse on one side as you deflect in the channel monitor, but reality is this works perfectly! Thanks for the upload!!! Got my proportional power and dig function. It's quite sensitive though so I would suggest to anyone doing this put a curve/expo on it. Appreciate it! Now off to crawling.

I like that idea. I have my tank working with the Taranis but I think your way is a better way to do it. Thanks for the tip..

This is a case where I would have used the :Multiply function. The setup would be the same as shown but add the dig line to the mixer with :mult at 100% and it will reduce the throttle by that amount on that side, no offset needed. This would be a linear reduction of the throttle on the chosen side regardless of the throttle value, 1/2 throttle * 1/2 dig = 1/4 throttle - as opposed to the shown implemenetation where 1/2 throttle + 1/2 dig = 0 throttle. Just a thought... either way will work and it would be a matter of getting used to how the controls interact.

Interesting! Thank you for this, I hadn't even thought of this.

I really like it, but how do you implement the same effect with your stick centered throttle zero, and then reverse?

Use an offset and a different weight to the rudder parts of the mix .. Best to luck

Is it possible to disable mixing in cleanflight/betaflight and Just Connect each Motor to one Channel? I have a tiny whoop like Microquad (eachine qx105 bat) that has a burnt ESC in the aio Board. I would Like to turn this into an airship Style boat. Like both Front Motors looking Forward and using them also to stear and the third as reverse if i get stuck. I dont know how to Set Up the Software for that. Maybe try to get inav Working?

I've never tried it but it might be possible. Best of luck with it

@@Painless360 Ive managed kinda to get it working. I mounted all Props in one Line and told the FC its a Quadcopter in Quad+ config. Now if i throttle up all Motors start spinning. When i move my right Stick it turns around. But boy where there many Problems on the way. You need to disable accelerometer Safety so it can arm. Also every time you save the configurations Tab in Betaflight the Receiver wont work anymore. So i had to manually edit my CLI-Dump and reupload it. Its actually a cool weekend Project. Get a broken Quad with blown ESC. Get Some Foamboard for less than a dollar, Packing Tape, Glue and Chopsticks from your Sushi. I also added 3 18650 Battery Holders in parallel so it runs for hours. Thanks for your Videos, you really helped me out so often and around my FPV Friends im always the guy that knows how to do it and if its possible. Keep up that great Content Mix between DIY and Tutorials.

HELP...... I live in the UK Can anyone advise where to buy DJI kit in the U?. I can buy it from the USA about 25% cheaper but I understand the customs man might get you in the long grass. The same applies to buying quads or planes from Banggood or other non UK vendors so the question is how much do you have to spend before the tax man takes an interest? Also..... if all else fails and I have to buy in the UK, where can I source the equipment as it just cannot be got. All sensible advice greatly appreciated.

I use 3DXR, Hobbyrc and unmannedtechshop. Supply of a lot of stuff is spotty at the moment so buy it when you see it... Happy flying

I've always been disappointed you can't get a surface radio running OpenTX. I really like surface radio ergonomics for driving but they are incredibly limited in functionality.
@Painless3603 жыл бұрын
I agree. Seems like a gap in the market..

Saw a Taranis converted into a surface radio a few years back. 3d print with X9D and trigger/wheel inside.

@@dr0n3droid @Painless360 I'm currently in the build process for this surface radio based on qx7: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4525550 mine will have a multi protocol module and built in receiver for headtracking. plenty of channels and switches for any kind of ground vehicle.

@@rfoerster Looks great. Does it have a multi module bay?
@rfoerster3 жыл бұрын
@@TakeItToTheGround there are two variants of the base. One including a jr module bay. I have a 4in1 multiprotocol in there to connect my radiolink receivers.
