Oh, this was lovely. A gentle wind down from a busy day at work. I gasped when the blooms happened in the second painting. I love that about watercolour and indigo is one of my favourites, along with sepia. I'm feeling inspired!

When I saw the finished pieces at the very start, I thought ‘Bass Rock’ 😊. These are really beautiful, I particularly love the geese one but they are all so beautiful x I’ll definitely give them a try.

Thank you so much for sharing these paintings. I live on the Thames estuary and in the last few weeks I’ve been doing simple sky and land scapes and adding bird formations in a similar concept to these you’ve done, they are so different to what I normally do and although I really like them I haven’t shared them, but I will now, you’ve encouraged some confidence. Ive used really granulating schmincke and primatek watercolours for mine, I also found a book on Turners watercolours so Ive been matching up his colours and using them which has been great fun 🤗
