I am so intrigued by the freshness, the looseness, the "unplannned-ness" of it all! Love it mucho.

Oh Angela, The more I watch you paint the more I am just falling in love with your style of painting, your philosophy, but mostly your fearLESSness with which you approach everything you paint! Your brush work is to die for and watching you paint is analogous to a beautiful breeze filled with the scent of the flowers I smelled while in Jamaica. I've painted so long with detail and almost a rigidity; feeling I had to paint with everything looking realistic ... and it was pretty, but never really reflected what I was feeling while I painted. I want to start truly painting from my heart in a way I never have. Such an "Aha" moment! Thank you so much for filling me with a hunger and desire for a style I never much cared for. I always appreciated it as a style, just not as mine. I'm thinking more and more I need to join your Community of Fearless Artists. Though I've watched many of your videos for inspiration over the past couple of years, as you always inspire me(!!!), it was during and after I watched you paint live in your Studio Session on the 22nd of October as you so bravely showed everyone who watched and will watch as you were teaching yourself urban landscapes that I started to feel rumblings in my soul and I am absolutely loving it! X❤️X

Angela you were one of my first foray into You tube artists. You are still a major favorite. You talk to teach in such an easy manner. Being such an amazing artist ❤️ you are so unaffected by your talent. You are a very special person.

I find that the way you put the brush flat onto the paper like it’s laying down is something I want to try. The effect it gives with the paint is so gorgeous! Thank you!! Susan

I spend far too much time watching your videos, and others, instead of painting. I think your final brushstrokes, those little sqwiggles you so like to do so much, that added just the right details to this painting. I liked the little bit of music you've added. Haven't heard that before. Also have seen you using the white, ceramic dish for your palette. I have a similar one and really like how it helps mix and blend the paint. Easy clean up too! Loved the comment, "making it look as real as I wanted it to look." The three color limitation is a good recommendation for me. Larry Misiak, Houston

I learned a lot from this video with regard to balance and color and using a limited palette. In particular, it was nice to see an artist painting and correcting along the way. I would like to learn to work looser and know when to stop when I have reached the boundary. My issue right now is, once I lay a wet wash down and let it dry, I have difficulty defining the darks. They don't look as loose and fresh. Thank you, I enjoy your work and your videos.

Very informative and interesting. Just when I thought it was complete and perfect, you added an additional touch to it and forced me to re-think your strategy all over again. It was a fun video to watch... and to try to apply to my own painting. I very much appreciate your lessons on color theory, something I struggle with; also your looseness... probably my biggest hang-up (I'm a retired engineer who has always had to have the "correct" answer. I would love to see some color selections for Christmas Cards, and see a demonstration on loose florals in that application. Great job.

I absolutely love watching you create! When you pick up a brush, Magic happens, right before our eyes!!! This one turned out beautifully.... Also, I just read the email about you coming to Asheville, NC, and that is less then an hour away from me so I am now working out a budget to see if I can sign up for the workshop. A dream come true that would be!!! Hope you and yours have a beautiful week. As always, Much Love and Respect, Stacy

I'm watching this as I have my breakfast. Enjoying your brush work and the colour theory info using your colour wheel. Gives me a way to think about my colour choices in a painting. Also, what is the clear tape you've used on your paper and how did you get the rough edges on your paper? I read that one's not to 'cut' their watercolour paper sheets, but to tear them to sizes wanted for painting. Did you 'tear' yours? Thanks for this demo video, Angela. I'm going to play with this one for a warm-up this morning. :)

Hello Angela, As always, I love watching you paint. I painted this afternoon and I just wish I could be as relaxed as you are. I constantly get uptight and my paintings show it. I enjoyed you telling us what you would have done had it been a real painting and not a demo. How did you like Blick's Paint?

I thought the brush work before the dark around the flower was very light and beautiful mix in the scheme of the flower and different colors around it. It's true your eye did move around the flower to catch all the colors so you had a point on the vocal point. Still I myself would've left it before the dark. It did turn out really nice. I liked how you outlined the pedals with the dark. It made the flower pop and the spatter. You know it'll look different after it drys. I liked the yellow and the turquoise on the right upper corner. Thank you for sharing. Well happy painting. I'm no expert for sure. 😊😎FL.

Lovely flower and color blending. My eye goes to one area of very dark violet and white paper placed at the upper left of the flower seems to be another focal point. Would your color wash correct this?

I have to use your spatter technique more often. It adds more texture and a way to add a possible new color. Again, this is Barbara Salmi, not Julie.
