New Gamboge (but I used permanent yellow by Shinhan PWC)
Quinacridone Burnt Orange
Hematite Burnt Scarlet
Lunar Black
Indigo
Brushes;
DaVinci Maestro size 0, 6, 8
Silver Black Velvet size 2, 4
Grainer brush Princeton

Congratulations on getting out of Covid jail, Sharon! I really enjoyed this video and I think it was because you showed just how useful it can be to be able to use layering extensively (something that made me switch a year ago or so from cellulose to cotton for anything that's not just a quick line and wash sketch). I have one of the Paul Rubens cotton sketchbooks but haven't used it yet, as I'm currently working on the Etchr and Hahnemule cotton sketchbooks - but going by the results you achieved in this gorgeous finch painting, maybe I should also jump into the Paul Rubens to see how it suits me. Incidentally, it was nice to see Diesel at the start of the video, still looking out over us all - and his Mom too, of course. Our new9ish) little girl Coco had her spaying operation just over a week ago, so Trish & I have done little other than 'nurse' her since then (even though the tough little girl didn't really need much help in getting over her 'op' - she's done really well). I still have our dear Pepe as my computer's default screenshot and even now I still say 'Good morning' and 'Goodnight' to him every day. thanks Brian. The Paul Reubens is just okay. When i use it for landscapes r heavy wet into wet washes i notice that it pills. So I’m not sure I will ever buy it again but I have a couple of them. It was fine for the bird though

Sharon I love your top! By the way, what device do you use for subjects that are on a digital device for watercolor painting. If its an iPad which one. Love the painting. I'm in Michigan and I see those little birds at our window feeder. They seem to travel in threes.

Thank you. Yes i use an iPad Pro. I have the 12.9” but my charging port messed up so i am fed ex-ing it out tomorrow down to Oak Park to have it fixed. I am not using a 10.5” older iPad Pro.
